Photos are brilliant. I have always lived in big cities and do at least two holidays a year to get away from city life and enjoy the calming and laidback (not meant as something negative) life of smaller towns/villages amidst nature. This place just looks so beautiful and exactly the kind of place i would want to visit for a holiday.

Thanks for sharing the pics and details with the community. A lot of places in India are similar in terms lifestyle, infrastructure, and natural habitat with a possibility to enjoy the waters. Romania, i have heard is beautiful and your pics are a testimonial to that.

You should come and visit one day. Thanks for the feedback. ;)

Yeah, big cities and tiny villages in the middle of nowhere are two very different worlds. But you'd get enough of either of them, because as life in a city is tiring and chaotic, life in a village like that is tough and not for everyone. Though a lot more peaceful.

What a marvelous post. Obviously, Currie liked it too!

Oh. Wonderful. Thanks a lot. It came unexpected.

I might sound like a spammer saying this but thank you for sharing this story with us. It was a pleasure reading it. You've managed to make me smile a few times. This story took me back in time and brought up some old memories, good and bad. :) I guess that's a recipe, you can't have good memories without bad ones.
Anyway, those who've been to this part of the world can understand the feeling you're talking about. I hope you didn't come back with a broker heart this time and the beautiful memories are enough to take you through the year :)

I don't think spammers sound like that. :D It's more like please vote me, I'll do everything for your account.

Thank you for the kind words. I didn't really expect it. I wasn't even that pleased with it when I finished writing it. I'm glad it made you smile and bring you back memories. ;)

And yeah... good and bad memories make for a good time. That's the recipe. Balance. And about my broken heart... it healed quite fast. Wonderful things happened when I came back from there. :)

And all this was motivating enough to get me through to the next adventure. Thanks again, @erikah.

Well, spammers quite often say thanks for sharing :)
Anyway, you did a great job, you got a cutie upvote and one from travelfeed! That's amazing!
I'm really glad to hear that life is treating you well, now I can sleep well tonight 😁

Haha. Thanks. Well, you know, sometimes it's the bad memories, other times it's the good ones. This time I got lucky. :D

But you should sleep well at night nonetheless. Have a good night then. With the sweetest of dreams. ;)

Aww, how sweet :)) Thank you, you too, sweet dreams! ;)

Wow, that was a wonderful surprise. Thanks a lot guys. May you have a wonderful week. ;)

Amazing article which does a lot of justice to this amazing place in Romania.
We would really like to see more tourists coming to these places, which are unique in Europe, while also the cheapest possible places.
Keep it up, Steem will rise and good content is always rewarded!

Thanks a lot for the feedback and for all the support, guys.

I really enjoyed reading your post, and seeing your amazing photography. Thats what I like about Steemit, is I get to enjoy a taste of peoples adventures from all around the world.

Thank you for the kind words. Glad you liked it.

Beautiful work on this post. Keep them coming. I really liked the photo of the man sitting under the "Stop and Enjoy Your Life" sign. The wildlife photos are awesome as well.

Thank you so much, man. I appreciate it. I'll do my best.

That's also my favorite shot. The guy was first seating and smoking with the other one in the shot right above - the only one I got before they got up and left. I was a bit down because it wasn't that good and wanted to take some more, but then he was about to leave and while waiting for the other one he sat right under that sign. I was like: 'shit - that couldn't have been better'. :D

real country life, one can totally feel the vibe from your photos.

Thanks. Come visit one day for the real vibe. ;)

You really have a great holiday at Romania there. But wait a minute!!!! Did you really see a real mermaid or you just referred to her as a mermaid. Great post @vladcracium.

Haha. Well, I kind of see mermaids when I look into those blue eyes of gorgeous girls. But don't tell anyone. :D

Okay,I will tell no one, hope nobody see this.👅👅

Interesting photos. Recently I've googled Sfantu Gheorghe - that spot in the big green area of Danube's Delta, but in the street view I found only a few panoramas from hotels/campings. You presented more intimate view of the village's life. Very good article!

Thanks a lot. Well, yeah, most people are interested in what comforts and amenities they will have there, so they look for pictures with those details. When I go somewhere new, I prefer to wander around and see the day to day life of the locals. I like to understand life in other places.

As for the camping, there's a normal one, where you can stay with a tent and have only the basic necessities like shower and toilet and then there's a luxury camping, where all those fancy people like to go. I've explored that a little bit only to see people who were staying by the side of the pool. I don't understand why you'd have a pool there in the first place, but I guess that some people want to pay for things that don't matter only to make them feel better.

Most of the photos you've seen on google are from that luxury camping.

Thanks again for the feedback. ;)

This is a nice little surprise. Thank you, guys.

howdy sir vladcracium! whoa man, this was a delightful post to read and see and learn about the area and the people, the "drinking village" I would call it! lol. and "Laziness at its finest." in the hammock sounds like such a relaxing winner, I loved it.

I'd love to go there sometime, are you going again next year?

Thanks a lot.

Uh, well, I don't even know what I'm about to do next week. My hopes and dreams are that next year I'll be wandering South America. Who knows?

howdy sir vladcracium on this fine Thursday! well that is interesting..you mean you can afford to just take off and travel all over the world when you feel like it?

I wish. Technically, I could, because I work as a mountain guide and I'm a freelance writer, so I'm flexible and only need my laptop and an internet connection.

But then, I don't yet make enough money to be able to travel the world. So, yeah. I wish one day I could do that. I'm working to create myself a life which will allow me to travel for about 3 months a year. Every year.

I'm the slow type of traveler and I love to stay in one place more than a few days and only tick the must-see touristic spots. I'd rather go to less touristic places and try to understand life from a local's perspective.
