RE: My thoughts on Friday's Meeting and the aftermath - ALL MEMBERS PLEASE VIEW -

Great post @silverstackeruk! Too bad it had to be but high marks for doing what you needed to do. I'm going to give you my perspective because you cared enough to give yours. I am new to silver stacking. Started stacking shortly after joining Steemit in June, 2017. @vegansilverstack was the one that infected me with stackitis, and I thank him for that! Then I happened upon the #steemsilvergold group and I was psyched. So much good, no, GREAT content. I started posting (infrequently though) and felt welcomed by the group. This was huge for me at the time because I was feeling lost on steemit and was close to leaving. Feeling part of the SSG community kept me here and I am grateful for that. I honestly never understood stax. I think I got an upvote from stax on one of my first SSG posts. Then I remember reading that you had to donate or delegate to stax to get an upvote & that felt weird to me. I continued to participate in some great discussions, contests & other cool SSG stuff (@welshstacker secret silver Santa :)) but still never really understood stax. I could not get my head around the requirements for membership/upvotes. Paying for tiers/delegating SP/AND upvoting the bot all for an upvote on my post? I don't blog as much as I would like and this just didn't make sense to me. I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer but it just didn't add up. So I'm just going to keep stacking my stack and learning from the SSG pros!
Thanks again @silverstackeruk.

@summertooth believe it or not you are ONE of the SHARPEST Knives in the drawer. I have not said anything about the STAX bot delegations but I do know that even if STAX would have gone on for the next year I would NEVER have given STAX any STEEM Power as a delegation. I UP Voted STAX everyday 100% but now I am glad that I don't have to be concerned with that now.

Now as an add on comment. I will be Boycotting the 2018 STEEM Silver Round if it is going to be Minted by Pheli Mint. I think that it is a really neat thing to make a yearly round and it is a great way to draw people into the Silver Stacking Community but I won't own one.

Also I don't think I will ever own a 2017 STEEM Silver Round now. I Love STEEMIT and a lot of people in SSG do too. The BOT that is created going forward that will not be owned by any ONE Individual will be much better I am sure.......................

Lastly I am GLAD that this happened and STAX is DEAD. I know by this happening we can move forward. Yes some bridges have been burned and that is OK.

I appreciate the kind words @stockjockey. And I guess my intuition was right in this case. As for the 2018 Steem round....wow...I guess I have to agree with you on not buying in. I read somewhere that all the fundraising we did to lower the price will now not be used to lower the price!!! I don't know if this is true and if I am wrong someone let me know, but....shit!
Oh well, life goes on, and the is NO shortage of kick-ass silver out there, that's for sure.

Let me give you quick Staz rundown. Phel created Stax, a few members made big delegation as a show of support and everyone got votes from stax. The price of steem started going up and tiers were introduced, this might have been the time to joined. Since than, it been going down hill. Stax's timeline can be compared to bitconnect's if Stax is bitconnect and steem is BTC.
