Como personal de enfermería debemos de estar capacitados al momento de atender a cualquier tipo de paciente, no es la excepción cuando de procedimientos se trata, por eso la espirometría se debe de manejar de forma correcta con lo que respecta al protocolo de preparación al paciente para así poder obtener unos resultados favorables.
As nursing staff we must be trained when caring for any type of patient, it is not the exception when it comes to procedures, that is why spirometry must be handled correctly with regard to the protocol for preparing the patient for so you can get good results.
Existen diversas recomendaciones médicas las cuales se deben explicar al paciente mediante la comunicación para que estas sean seguidas, dicha recomendación se debe seguir previamente al realizar la prueba de la espirometría pulmonar.
There are various medical recommendations which must be explained to the patient through communication so that they are followed, this recommendation must be followed before performing the pulmonary spirometry test.
El paciente deberá restringir la inducción de alimentos pesados antes de la prueba, se recomienda mantener una dieta con alimentos que no lleguen a ocasionar malestar estomacal debido a que esto altera el patrón respiratorio.
The patient must restrict the induction of heavy foods before the test, it is recommended to maintain a diet with foods that do not cause stomach upset because this alters the respiratory pattern.
Si el paciente es fumador, no podrá fumar 24 horas antes de la prueba, lo mismo sucede con la ingesta de sustancias alcohólicas o ilícitas.
If the patient is a smoker, they will not be able to smoke 24 hours before the test, the same happens with the intake of alcoholic or illicit substances.
No deberá hacer ejercicio extenuante o exagerado horas antes del procedimiento médico.
You should not do strenuous or exaggerated exercise hours before the medical procedure.
En caso de pacientes que requieren de tratamiento como los broncodilatadores deberá de consultarlo con su respectivo médico tratante, allí se le indicará si deberá de restringirlo o si debe ser inhalado previo al examen o durante el mismo.

En indispensable que el paciente siga las instrucciones previas al procedimiento médico, de esta forma se podrán obtener unos resultados favorables en cuanto respecta a la condición física de los campos pulmonares.
