¡Hola a todos! El día de hoy les traigo a la comunidad este súper maravilloso juguete llamado Pixel Chix. Así que ¡Vamos a ello!
I remember that back in 2005 approximately came out these little digital doll houses, Pixel Chix from Mattel toy company. This toy was used to play with a character that was in 2D but lived inside a 3D house. An innovative concept that drove a lot of girls crazy at that time and I included myself. I wanted one with all my heart! The thing is that they were a bit expensive and I could never have one.
About 4 years ago, I was researching about this toy and its sale. I found a person selling a little house at a super low price. I had a hard time believing it because this toy is discontinued, so I asked him for a video to check it out and he sent it and it was fully functional. So I bought it and lo and behold this beautiful house.
Recuerdo que por allá en el año 2005 aproximadamente salieron estás casitas de muñeca digitales, Pixel Chix de la compañía de juguetes Mattel. Dicho juguete servía para jugar con un personaje que estaba en 2D pero que vivía dentro de una casa en 3D. Un concepto innovador y que volvió locas a una cantidad de niñas de por esa época y me incluyo ¡Yo deseaba una con todo mi corazón! La cuestión es que eran un poco caras y nunca pude tenerla.
Hace alrededor de 4 años, indagando sobre este juguete y su venta. Encontré una persona que vendía una casita en un precio súper bajo. Me costó creerlo porque este juguete está descontinuado, así que le pedí un vídeo para comprobarlo y lo envío y estaba totalmente funcional. Así que lo compre y he aquí está preciosura de casa.
Pixel Chix works like a Sims style life simulator. You will find many options to interact with the character and level her up How is that? Well, she starts as your friend and as you spend time together, many more options to hang out with her will be unlocked. Among these options are the possibility to eat various foods, change your outfit, go to school, do homework, go for a walk, go on a date, go to a concert, debut as an artist, watch movies, skate, call someone, have a pet, sleep, among many other things. Which is surprising because being so old it has so many functions.
However, I think its only disadvantage is that you can't leave it unattended for a long time. That is, you must be constantly interacting with her because if you don't, she will go down in level and eventually she will end up leaving the house. But you don't have to worry because the game restarts and she comes back home as good as new. If you want to keep the level and the doll by your side, then you must be very attentive to her needs. It's like a Tamagotchi.
Pixel Chix funciona como un simulador de vida estilo los Sims. Encontraras muchas opciones para interactuar con el personaje y así subir de nivel ¿Cómo es eso? Pues ella comienza como tu amiga y conforme compartes tiempo juntas, se irán desbloqueando muchas más opciones para pasar el rato con ella. Dentro de esas opciones están la posibilidad de comer alimentos varios, cambiar de atuendo, ir al colegio, hacer las tareas, salir a pasear, salir en una cita, ir a un recital, debutar como artista, ver películas, patinar, llamar a alguien, tener una mascota, dormir, entre muchísimas cosas más. Lo cual es sorprendete porque siendo tan antiguo tiene muchas funciones.
Eso sí, creo que su única desventaja es que no puedes descuidarla por mucho tiempo. Es decir, debes estar constantemente interactuando con ella porque si no lo haces ella va bajando de nivel y eventualmente se termina yendo de la casa. Pero no es de preocupar porque el juego se reinicia y ella vuelve como nueva a casa. Sí lo que quieres es conservar el nivel y a la muñeca a tu lado, entonces deberás de ser muy atento a todas sus necesidades. Es como un Tamagotchi.
I consider it an heirloom. I've already talked about how I'm slowly building up a collection of toys. I hope to get some more houses of this style because in fact, Pixel Chix, has many other versions that went on sale. Where the character could finally interact with other characters and other houses. As well as a mobile home, cars, televisions. All they had in common was that they contained a little girl inside them.
Finally, I leave you with some pictures to observe the quality with which it is maintained. It is still fully functional, its screen is still clear, it keeps its keys, the color of the facade, the character still responds to commands and the sound is super. Considero una reliquia. Ya en otra oportunidad hablé sobre como a poco estoy formando una colección de juguetes. Espero conseguir algunas casitas más de este estilo porqué de hecho, Pixel Chix, tiene muchas otras versiones que salieron a la venta. Dónde el personaje finalmente podía interactuar con otros personajes y otras casitas. Así como también una casa rodante, carros, televisores. Todo lo que tenían en común era que contienen una pequeña chica dentro de ellas.
Finalmente, los dejo con algunas fotografías para que observen la calidad con la que se mantiene. Sigue totalmente funcional, su pantalla sigue nítida, conserva sus teclas, el color de la fachada, el personaje sigue respondiendo a los comandos y el sonido esta súper. Por lo que creo que todos esperamos este resultado cuando buscamos un juguete descontinuado o de colección. Espero que les haya gustado y muchísimas gracias por pasar por aquí. I never heard of this before, it is so cute! Tamogotch was a bit difficult as it's rather small so I never played with it before, but this looks really good. Does your doll have a name?
Yes, it's really a bit difficult to maintain because you can't always keep an eye on it. But everyone can try to adapt to make it work.
