Dear friends of Hivediy community, today I show you how to make a beautiful tray with a cardboard box, ideal for surprise breakfasts, distribute snacks at your parties or simply to decorate your kitchen.
Tray with recycling material
Materials:
- 1 small cardboard box, approx. 32cm x 25cm
- White glue
- Yellow cold paint
- Gold cold paint
- Paper sheets (recycled)
- X-act or cutter
- Brush
- Pencil
- Tirro
Tissue paper to decorate
Steps for the elaboration:
1- We start by cutting the lids of the box, then we measure 6 cm from the base to give it the height and proceed to cut.
2- We use the leftover cuttings from the lids to reinforce the base of our tray, we place glue and press.
3- To reinforce the handles, we will make two molds 25 cm long by 7.5 cm high, giving the upper part curved shapes to improve the presence and design. The hollow of the handles will depend on the size of your hands, in my case, it is 8 cm long by 2 cm high, we cut and paste, we hold with a pull so that it does not come loose.
4- We use the paper mache technique, placing water and white glue in a container, we tear recycled paper, it is moistened in the preparation and we place it on the entire tray little by little, this in order to give it resistance and hardness. We let it dry one day.
5- We proceed to paint our tray

6- With the golden paint and the help of a sponge we make some edges to the tray.
7- After the work is finished, we decorate with tissue paper, make breakfast and ... surprise.
