Hoy les quiero compartir una primera parte de un movimiento de un concierto de violín que comencé a estudiar hace poco. Es el segundo movimiento del concierto para violín que compuso el gran Tchaikovsky.
En otras oportunidades les he compartido un poco sobre quién es este gran compositor y lo increíble que ha sido todo su trabajo.
Así que hoy les quiero compartir un poco de todo lo que sucede detrás de este hermoso segundo movimiento, que fue compuesto en 1834 y es una obra de la época romántica y uno de los conciertos para violín más populares. También está considerado como uno de los más difíciles para ese instrumento.
En este caso, el segundo movimiento de este concierto inicia con gestos un tanto severos. Aunque descrito como una Canzonetta, se asemeja más a un coral que a una canción ligera, por su escritura homofónica y movimiento pausado. Se inicia con un pasaje en acordes ejecutado por las maderas acompañadas por las trompas.
Luego el solista entona una melodía de carácter tradicional ruso con un acompañamiento sencillo. Debido a su corta duración y su ambiente relativamente tranquilo, la Canzonetta sirve como puente entre el primer y el tercer movimiento, inspirado este último en temas rusos tradicionales que se prestan para ser desarrollados mediante variaciones múltiples en la orquestación, el ritmo y la melodía misma.
En este caso, lo estoy estudiando desde hace un par de semanas, espero lo disfruten y logren apreciar la calma que el compositor quería reflejar.

Today I want to share with you the first part of a movement from a violin concert that I started studying recently. It is the second movement of the violin concerto composed by the great Tchaikovsky.

So today I want to share with you a bit of everything that happens behind this beautiful second movement, which was composed in 1834 and is a work from the romantic era and one of the most popular violin concertos. It is also considered one of the most difficult for that instrument.
In this case, the second movement of this concert begins with somewhat severe gestures. Although described as a Canzonetta, it is more like a choir than a light song, due to its homophonic writing and slow movement. It begins with a chord passage executed by the woods accompanied by the horns.
Then the soloist sings a traditional Russian melody with a simple accompaniment. Due to its short duration and relatively calm atmosphere, the Canzonetta serves as a bridge between the first and third movements, the latter inspired by traditional Russian themes that lend themselves to being developed through multiple variations on the orchestration, rhythm and the melody itself. .
In this case, I have been studying it for a couple of weeks, I hope you enjoy it and manage to appreciate the calm that the composer wanted to reflect.

Me encanto. Tchaikovsky es de lejos mi compositor favorito, y su concierto para violín es de lo más hermoso -para mí- en la música.
