¡Hola, amigos! Hoy decidí participar en la iniciativa de @lisfabian, en donde voy a recordar una de las mejores vacaciones que he tenido en mi vida, viajando por el oriente de mi país, Venezuela. Me gustaría invitar a mi prima @emperatriz1503 a participar en esta iniciativa.
Hello, friends! Today I decided to participate in @lisfabian initiative, where I'm going to remember one of the best vacations I've ever had in my life, traveling through the east of my country, Venezuela. I would like to invite my cousin @emperatriz1503 to participate in this initiative.
En el año 2012, mi tía Rosa, a quien quiero tanto, me invitó a pasar vacaciones con ella, mi tío y mis primos en una divertida excursión que se había programado para Semana Santa.
In 2012, my aunt Rosa, whom I love so much, invited me to spend vacation with her, my uncle and my cousins on a fun excursion that had been scheduled for Easter.
Fue muy divertido y a pesar de que dentro del autobús hacía mucho frío, debido al aire acondicionado, el exterior estaba muy caliente porque así es la tierra oriental venezolana, hace mucho calor y el sol quema bastante.
It was a lot of fun and even though it was very cold inside the bus, due to the air conditioning, it was very hot outside because that's how the eastern Venezuelan land is, it's very hot and the sun burns a lot.
En primer lugar llegamos a Mochima y nos dirigimos a bordo de una lancha hacia una de las islas.
First we arrive at Mochima and head aboard a boat to one of the islands.
El sol estaba bastante intenso, así que el mar nos llamaba con el vaivén de sus tentadoras aguas. Por lo tanto, al llegar a la isla no dudamos en refrescarnos, pero, sin lugar a dudas, una de las cosas que más disfruté ese día, al igual que mis primos, fue cuando nos subimos en esa silla inflable roja que pueden ver en la fotografía.
The sun was quite intense, so the sea was calling us with the swaying of its tempting waters. Therefore, when we arrived at the island we didn't hesitate to cool off, but, without a doubt, one of the things I enjoyed the most that day, as well as my cousins, was when we got on that red inflatable chair that you can see in the picture.
Es una lástima que no tengamos fotos de ese momento pero, de todas formas les relataré nuestra experiencia: Mis dos primos y yo abordamos la silla, junto a otro compañero, esta silla estaba unida a una lancha, entonces el conductor iba a toda velocidad mientras nos arrastraba. Su objetivo era hacernos volcar (desde luego estábamos con chalecos salvavidas) por esa razón daba giros abruptos y aumentaba la velocidad abruptamente, no obstante, nosotros nos afirmamos con fuerza y no caímos en ningún momento, además equilibramos el peso, pero nos daba mucha risa todo el esfuerzo que hacíamos y la cara de frustración del conductor cuando giraba para vernos. ¡Fue divertidísimo!
It's a pity that we don't have pictures of that moment, but I will tell you about our experience anyway: My two cousins and I boarded the chair, together with another companion, this chair was attached to a boat, then the driver was going at full speed while dragging us. His goal was to make us capsize (of course we were wearing life jackets) for that reason he made abrupt turns and increased the speed abruptly, however, we held on tight and didn't fall at any time, we also balanced the weight, but we laughed a lot at all the effort we made and the frustrated face of the driver when he turned to see us. It was hilarious!
Nos divertimos mucho ese día, pero sin lugar a dudas que una de las cosas que más disfruté fue cuando fuimos al estado Monagas. El hotel era muy bonito y en armonía con la naturaleza, de hecho los productos para el baño eran artesanales y promovían mucho el respeto al medio ambiente.
We had a lot of fun that day, but without a doubt one of the things I enjoyed the most was when we went to the state of Monagas. The hotel was very nice and in harmony with nature, in fact the bath products were handmade and promoted respect for the environment.
Al día siguiente visitamos El Parque Nacional Alejandro Humboldt, mejor conocido como «La Cueva del Guácharo», una enorme caverna, llamada así por la cantidad de aves del mismo nombre que moran en su interior.
The next day we visited Alejandro Humboldt National Park, better known as "La Cave of the Guácharo", a huge cavern, called that way because of the number of birds of the same name that dwell inside.
Es una lástima que no haya podido captar las imágenes del interior con mi teléfono celular, debido a la gran oscuridad que había, no obstante tomé algunas fotografías del exterior e incluso, algunas en la entrada de la cueva, que espero les guste, a pesar de la poca resolución de mi cámara en ese entonces.
It's a pity that I couldn't capture the images of the interior with my cell phone, due to the great darkness, however I took some pictures of the exterior and even some at the entrance of the cave, which I hope you like, despite the low resolution of my camera at that time.
Desde luego contábamos con un guía para el grupo que, armado con una lámpara de gas (Ya que la luz artificial altera muchísimo a los guacharos) nos iba mostrando el camino y las diferentes formas interesantes que tienen las estalactitas y estalagmitas del interior, además de las distintas galerías que tiene la cueva.
Of course we had a guide for the group who, armed with a gas lamp (since artificial light greatly alters the guacharos) was showing us the way and the different interesting shapes of the stalactites and stalagmites inside, as well as the different galleries that the cave has.
Tenemos una anécdota graciosa de ese día, y es que mi tía (que es muy nerviosa) entró a la cueva con mucha precaución, atando un pañuelo sobre su cabeza para que la humedad no arruinara su cabello. Sin embargo, en algún momento cayó una gota de agua desde el techo, justo sobre su cabeza y de pronto, el grito agudo de mi tía inundó toda la cueva, dejando el eco reververante en medio de la bulla que formaban los guacharos que se resguardaban en las grietas. Inmediatamente todos soltamos la risa, incluyendo ella misma, de verdad fue muy gracioso.
We have a funny anecdote from that day, and that is that my aunt (who is very nervous) entered the cave with great caution, tying a handkerchief over her head so that the humidity wouldn't ruin her hair. However, at some point a drop of water fell from the ceiling, right on her head, and suddenly, my aunt's high-pitched scream flooded the entire cave, leaving a reverberating echo in the midst of the noise formed by the guacharos that were sheltering in the cracks. Immediately we all burst out laughing, including herself, it was really very funny.
Luego regresamos al hotel y al día siguiente fuimos a Las Aguas de Moisés, un balneario natural y maravilloso, ubicado en el estado Sucre. Tiene piscinas relajantes, algunas incluso con peces, pero yo preferí aprovechar una de esas piscinas donde disfruté de las propiedades de la arcilla. Después de ese tratamiento mi piel quedó muy pero muy suave y tersa.
Then we returned to the hotel and the next day we went to Las Aguas de Moisés, a wonderful natural spa, located in the state of Sucre. It has relaxing pools, some even with fish, but I preferred to take advantage of one of those pools where I enjoyed the properties of clay. After that treatment my skin was very, very soft and smooth.
Una de las cosas que más me gustó de este balneario, es que tiene estatuas que recuerdan a personajes bíblicos, como los hebreos esclavos en Egipto, una réplica de la esfinge y el propio Moisés.
One of the things I liked most about this spa is that it has statues reminiscent of biblical characters, such as the Hebrew slaves in Egypt, a replica of the Sphinx and even Moses.
Pero finalmente llegó el día de abandonar el hotel y regresar a nuestra propia ciudad, hacia el centro del país. Sin embargo, aunque estaba llena de nostalgia por dejar atrás tan bonita experiencia, también quería regresar a mi entorno y contarle a mis padres y hermana lo que había visto.
But finally the day came to leave the hotel and return to our own city, towards the center of the country. However, although I was filled with nostalgia for leaving behind such a beautiful experience, I also wanted to return to my surroundings and tell my parents and sister what I had seen.
Fueron unas vacaciones maravillosas, las cuales recordaré toda mi vida. @lisfabian Muchas gracias por darme la oportunidad de participar en tu iniciativa, disfruté mucho rememorando viejos tiempos. Gracias también a ustedes por leerme y por su tiempo.
