El título de la película ya nos avisaba el regreso de Buck, la comadreja loca que dominaba a los dinosaurios de la tercera entrega de la franquicia, pero pese a que pensaba que iba a ser el protagonista de la cinta, Crash y Eddie, las zarigüeyas hermanos de Ellie tomaron ese rol principal, en una historia donde buscaban independizarse y hacer su vida alejados de la manada.
The title of the film already warned us of the return of Buck, the crazy weasel that dominated the dinosaurs of the third installment of the franchise, but despite the fact that he thought he was going to be the protagonist of the film, Crash and Eddie, the opossums Ellie's brothers took that main role, in a story where they sought to become independent and make their lives away from the herd.
Pero más allá de tocar a fondo está problemática, lo que hubiera sido muy interesante al tratarse de los personajes más inmaduros de la manada, todo se vio muy manchado por los continuos clichés y referencias a lo que hoy está de moda en Hollywood. Dinosaurios ninjas, un genio malvado dinosaurio que domina mentalmente a los suyos, un cueva de solteros para las zarigüeyas o estás mías siendo los superhéroes del día, sumado muchas otras locuras, simplemente nos alejan de la idea principal, y aunque entiendo que es una cinta para niños, pudieron haberse esforzado un poco más en la profundidad de los personajes.
But beyond playing to the bottom it is problematic, which would have been very interesting since it was the most immature characters of the pack, everything was very stained by the continuous clichés and references to what is fashionable in Hollywood today. Ninja dinosaurs, an evil dinosaur genius who mentally dominates his own, a singles cave for possums or you're mine being the superheroes of the day, added to many other crazy things, they just take us away from the main idea, and although I understand that it is a film for children, they could have put a little more effort into the depth of the characters.

Algo que me disgustó fue la animación, con un claro bajón en cuanto a la calidad, incluso comparándola con la primera película, y de eso, ya han pasado unos cuantos años. A la forma de los personajes le dieron un toque caricaturesco, en el mal sentido, el fondo y el ambiente se ve muy descuidado, e incluso hasta las texturas y aquellos pequeños detalles que siempre han sobresalido en las películas animadas de Disney, están muy flojas, haciéndola lucir como cualquier producción destinada directo a formato DVD.
Something that I disliked was the animation, with a clear drop in quality, even compared to the first film, and that's been a few years now. They gave the shape of the characters a cartoonish touch, in a bad way, the background and the environment look very careless, and even the textures and those small details that have always stood out in Disney animated movies, are very loose , making it look like any production intended for direct to DVD format.
Otra cosa donde pecan es en la influencia de Manny, Sid y Diego en la historia, ya que más allá de ser los protagonistas de la saga, son la causa por la que Crash y Eddie buscan independizarse, al referirse a ellos como atenidos e inmaduros, haciendo otro cameo al final para ver como estos habían cambiado, y básicamente, despedirse de ellos. También hay un retroceso muy importante en el perezoso y el tigre dientes de sable, pues luego de la última vez que se les vio, habían conseguido pareja y estaban en la senda de formar una familia y llegar a la madurez completa, tal cual como lo hizo Manny, pero de sus compañeras no hay ni una referencia.
Another thing where they sin is in the influence of Manny, Sid and Diego in history, since beyond being the protagonists of the saga, they are the reason why Crash and Eddie seek to become independent, referring to them as cared for and immature , making another cameo at the end to see how they had changed, and basically say goodbye to them. There is also a very important setback in the sloth and the saber-toothed tiger, because after the last time they were seen, they had found a mate and were on the path to forming a family and reaching full maturity, just as Manny did, but there is no reference to his companions.
Los chistes y los diálogos también estuvieron muy flojos, tratando de hacer comedia de forma muy forzada, que más allá de que el público al que está dirigido sea el infantil, dudo que hasta ellos logren romperse de la risa. Crash y Eddie no tienen una personalidad lo suficientemente fuerte como para ser los protagonistas, y Buck, el regreso y la gran referencia de donde buscaron agarrarse para darle sentido a la historia, aportó muy poco, cayendo a un segundo plano, dejando atrás muchas de las cosas que lo hicieron destacar tanto anteriormente, aunque la disputa sentimental entre una fruta y Zee, me pareció muy acertado, viendo los inicios de esta loca comadreja.
The jokes and the dialogues were also very weak, trying to make comedy in a very forced way, that beyond the fact that the audience it is aimed at is children, I doubt that even they will be able to burst out laughing. Crash and Eddie do not have a strong enough personality to be the protagonists, and Buck, the return and the great reference from which they sought to hold on to make sense of the story, contributed very little, falling into the background, leaving behind many of the things that made it stand out so much before, although the sentimental dispute between a fruit and Zee, seemed very successful to me, seeing the beginnings of this crazy weasel.
Los villanos y los otros personajes secundarios también estuvieron muy flojos, y como la temática de superhéroes está tan de moda hoy en día, intentaron meterla muy forzadamente con la inclusión de supervillanos y la misma Zee, una zorrilla muy ágil y con la habilidad de rociar y dormir a todos con su pestilencia. Pero más allá de todo, se extraña muchísimo al personaje secundario referencia de esta franquicia, la ardilla Scrat, siendo la gran ausencia de una película que hizo aguas en todo momento.
The villains and the other secondary characters were also very weak, and as the theme of superheroes is so fashionable today, they tried to push it very hard with the inclusion of supervillains and Zee herself, a very agile skunk with the ability to spray and put everyone to sleep with its pestilence. But beyond all, the reference secondary character of this franchise, Scrat the squirrel, is greatly missed, being the great absence of a film that made water at all times.
En conclusión, aunque entiendo que está es una producción para llenar el catálogo de Disney +, me cuesta entender las pocas ganas que le pusieron, fallando en todos los aspectos, aunque puede ser una buena distracción para los más pequeños de la casa. Lo que menos me gustó fue que dedicarán una entrega completa en esta historia, no escuchando a los fanáticos que lo único que deseamos es el reencuentro del trío original con el humano de la primera entrega ya adulto, siendo lo único bueno que no cerraron está posibilidad con la escena post crédito.
In conclusion, although I understand that this is a production to fill the Disney + catalog, I find it hard to understand how little desire they put into it, failing in all aspects, although it can be a good distraction for the little ones in the house. What I liked least was that they will dedicate an entire installment to this story, not listening to the fans that all we want is the reunion of the original trio with the adult human from the first installment, the only good thing being that they did not close this possibility with the post credit scene.
