Me gustaría saber tu respuesta.

With this part I finish relating the experiences that modified a part of my perception of the world about the attitude people have at certain times, where they affect both themselves and the people around them. After the story that I continue in the following lines, I had to return to work after a long and well deserved vacation, but of course, there was the problem that I had bent my ankle and could not walk long distances, and to make matters worse, I work in a place far from my area of residence, practically in another state, and it was very difficult for me with a swollen and sore ankle to cross the whole city to go to the medical service of my job and be told that I was not fit to work yet, and thus cross the city again to my house on the way back, enduring the punishments that those of us condemned to travel on public transportation suffer. They don't pay me enough to endure so many penalties.

The problem was that I needed a medical justification because the day of my return was a Friday, and no boss in the world would believe that a worker would not come to work from his vacation because of a bent foot on a Friday -what a coincidence- I was a boss and I would not believe it either. So I had to venture to the nearest hospital and chose to suffer the ineptitude and mistreatment of the public health employees, in exchange for suffering the technical incapacities of the public transport staff and the collective bestiality of the vulgar in the streets. What would you have chosen? I would like to know your answer.

I walked as I could to the entrance of the hospital whose name I will not mention here out of respect for the few people who, even in crisis, do their work by vocation, and it would be unfair for the opinion of the vulgar to include them also in their argumentative blunders; I asked where traumatology was and the guards told me that it was on the sixth floor. Still on the second floor, but in a building where only one elevator worked, it is something very illogical and planned by people who barely know how to read. Luckily I have trained my patience for many years in the Caracas Metro system and I can endure many types of adverse situations, such as the traumatologist on duty who attended me apparently had better things to do because the speed with which he wrote the X-ray order for an x-ray was impressive, despite how little I had spoken about my incident. Apparently the doctors when attending in a public entity use mental powers to know what the patient has without the patient talking about their problems, there is very little attention to the sick really.

Then I had to go down with my order to the second floor where the X-Ray department was located, while I looked at the garbage strewn inside the hospital and the garbage cans overflowing with waste. I wanted to take a picture and show it here but I was going as fast as I could so as not to lose my chance to be attended. When I arrived at the site I saw a moderate queue, I asked who was the last one and sat there all morning watching as people known to the department workers came and went while the other patients were admiring the benefits of meeting someone in a public hospital. It was almost noon when a lady came out to tell us that we had to line up at the entrance to get a place to enter the X-Ray because only 15 patients per shift, that is, 15 patients in the morning and 15 in the afternoon because the machine with the constant use was overloaded with work and did not work properly after 15 people. A fairly accurate figure that I imagine that with the daily routine according to several scientific studies had determined that this was the maximum number of people to attend per day.

Downstairs at the entrance of the hospital I asked who was the last person for X-rays and a girl with a baby in her arms answered me, and soon after the guards came out to number us because there were only 15 people coming in and I turned out to be number 9! I could be a little calmer because I was sure that I was going to be attended that day and I was not going to have any inconvenience at work with the blessed excuse. Soon after, a guy arrived asking for the last one to go to X-Ray, I told him it was me, to which he asked me a favor to take care of his post because he had to go home to eat because he had been on the street all morning; And I wanted to answer him that we were in the same conditions but that it was more important for me to have a position in the X-Ray of the public medicine of a country in crisis than to eat, because I needed the justification that the doctor was going to prescribe me so that they would believe me at work that I had missed a Friday to return from vacation because of that.

Like that guy came some other people who saw my face as a stall keeper because they asked for the last one and disappeared, but the only one I am going to give relevance to is a lady who arrived much later than me and was attended much earlier because at the moment when the security guards left to take us up to X-Ray, ghosts began to come out from where there were none, and this lady stood at the front of the line and got one of the first numbers. I on the other hand got number 14, and the boy who went home for lunch arrived just in time to be the last number of that catastrophic Friday. Five people came out of anonymity to skip their turn and take care of themselves before those of us who were standing there like cedars, I was almost left out, and what bothers me is that those who took other people's turns were two boys with chicken minds and two old ladies who took advantage of their senior status to be "bolder" than the others. I was at a point that I was not going to fight with some old ladies and even less to give a few punches to some guys with pissed sleeves, but I was not going to miss if I was left out in the queue because of them.

I went back to the place where I spent the whole morning to spend half of the afternoon, until I had the great privilege of going to the X-Ray room to wait for the other half of the afternoon watching how the workers attended the people at the pace that the soap operas allowed them. The positive change I had at that moment was that where I was before the seats were made of concrete and there was no ventilation of any kind, and now in the X-Ray waiting room the seats were made of metal and designed for people to sit on, and there was air conditioning, a much more comfortable place to watch how people, who to this day I resent them for having gotten into the wrong place and leaving others outside with the same need because of their laziness to wait in line, went to get their x-rays and left before me. At that time I imagined ways of how I could become a powerful public employee, or a relative of one to be able to denounce all the irregularities I had seen in the system in just one day that I was there, which I imagine that when mayors or ministers go they never look or hide them, but it would be good if one of them went without warning and disguised so that they would realize the reality that many people live, but of course it is also the will of the person who is in office to want to do things right and improve the system. I once heard that if politicians used public services, they would not be so lacking; it would be interesting if ministers did not go to private clinics, if mayors did not travel in vans of the year, and if presidents did the market with the minimum salary of a person, so everything would be better for everyone in equal amount.

The fact is that after everyone passed, even the boy who was behind me because he knew the X-Ray workers and passed before me, they attended me, they took my badge, which I had to take a picture with my smart phone because there were no supplies to give the badge to people, ie, If you go to public medicine without a smart phone, it is better that you die at home so that you don't spend your time in the hospital because you don't have the necessary technology to cover the irresponsibilities of those in power, and don't waste the whole day for nothing because at that point it was going to be a total waste of time that a person didn't have a phone to take a picture of a badge on a computer screen. Finally I was able to go up to the 6th floor to see the traumatologist at about six o'clock in the afternoon, what irony, but when I quickly saw the picture of the plate he told me that I had nothing, and what did I want, I answered that I needed a justification to send it to my work because I had to return from vacation, but he interrupted me before I finished my explanation to tell me that the rest I could deliver was only for three days.

In the confines of my thoughts came the most hateful and aggressive response that someone who has wasted a day of his life putting up with the bad attitude of other people could ever think of: "and where in the words that came out of my mouth did I tell you that I wanted rest? Are you a fucking retard or don't you understand that I need a justification that I was here? Sure! But if you don't let people finish talking when you are already answering that you are going to understand. That was what crossed my mind at the moment but my answer with a condescending smile that expressed the incomprehension of my case was: No, what I need is a justification. To which the doctor sent me to buy a medical report sheet and three white sheets because there were no supplies at the hospital, but to hurry because they were closing soon.

I went down the damned six floors as fast as I could to where they sold the sheets only to be surprised to find that they had already closed. The body by inertia I think, walked to my house without looking to the sides and much less back, but with a pain in my stomach of anger for having lost a day of my life for nothing; a day that I could spend resting my foot but instead it got worse swollen than I had it, all so they would give me the opportunity to take a picture of the bones of my body Yay! When I got home, I lay down to rest and put some ice on it so that the swelling would go down and I thought: What happened today?
