En mis post anteriores, les comentaba que para el período de Septiembre - Diciembre de 2021 me encontraba realizando un curso de Administración en Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Dentro del cronograma del curso, se encontraba la Unidad Formativa de Comunicación, dictada por una profesora de nacionalidad colombiana 🇨🇴 llamada Íngrid Durango.

Yo ni corta ni perezosa 🤭 me apunté para lucirme con mis dotes de las manualidades y hacerle un presente bastante significativo y alusivo a la Unidad Formativa que nos dictaba la profesora. Junto con mis compañeros, elegimos como tema del regalo una cajita en forma de cámara fotográfica 📸✨ ya que es un dispositivo de comunicación rápido y eficaz. Sabíamos que a la profe le iba a encantar.

I was neither short nor lazy 🤭 I signed up to show off my handicraft skills and give her a very meaningful present alluding to the formative unit that the teacher dictated to us. ✓ Spray negro y plateado.
✓ 1 tapa plástica de un botellón de agua.
✓ Cartulinas de color blanco, negro y plateado.
✓ Grapadora, tijera y pega blanca escolar.
✓ Recorte de flor de una caja de perfume.
✓ Marcador negro.
✓ Bolsa de basura, mascarilla y guantes de látex.
✓ tubo de papel higiénico.

✓ 2 boxes of cereal.
✓ Black and silver spray.
✓ 1 plastic cap from a water bottle.
✓ White, black and silver poster board.
✓ Stapler, scissors and white school glue.
✓ Flower cutout from a perfume box.

✓ Garbage bag, face mask and latex gloves.

Elaboración // Process

Paso 1. Necesitamos dos cajas de cereal porque una será para la base de la caja y la otra será para la tapa. Se recortan ambas partes y se posicionan una sobre la otra para asegurarnos de que encajen bien. Luego con ayuda de la pega y par de grapas finalizamos su ensamblaje.

Step 1. We need two cereal boxes because one will be for the base of the box and the other will be for the lid. Both parts are cut out and positioned one on top of the other to make sure they fit well. Then with the help of the glue and a couple of staples we finalize their assembly.

Paso 2. Para pintar la caja: Utilizamos el spray negro y colocamos una bolsa de basura sobre alguna superficie plana. Yo lo hice en el suelo de mi casa. Colocamos la caja en el medio de la bolsa y procedemos a pintar de forma uniforme y por partes hasta recubrir completamente todo su exterior. Recuerda hacer esta tarea en un espacio abierto o por lo menos bien ventilado para evitar irritaciones en ojos y nariz.

Step 2. To paint the box: We use the black spray and place a garbage bag on a flat surface. I did it on the floor of my house. We place the box in the middle of the bag and proceed to paint evenly and in parts until completely covering the entire outside. Remember to do this task in an open space or at least well ventilated to avoid irritation to eyes and nose.

Paso 3. Con el spray de color plateado, pintamos la tapa plástica del botellón de agua para simular el disparador de la cámara. Para la zapata del flash, se dibujan y recortan 3 rectángulos de orillas ovaladas. Un rectángulo blanco (el más grande), un rectángulo negro (tamaño mediano) y un rectángulo plateado (tamaño pequeño). Posicionamos en orden y luego pegamos.

Step 3. With the silver spray paint the plastic lid of the water bottle to simulate the camera trigger. For the flash shoe, draw and cut out 3 rectangles with oval edges. Paso 4. Para realizar el lente objetivo de la cámara recortamos a la mitad el tubo de papel higiénico y lo pintamos con el spray negro. Luego dibujamos y recortamos en la cartulina de color negro, un círculo con borde que se adapte a la medida del tubo de papel higiénico. Por otro lado, lo que simulará el vidrio del lente será un círculo de color plateado previamente medido, dibujado y cortado.

Step 4. To make the objective lens of the camera, cut the toilet paper tube in half and paint it with black spray paint. Then we draw and cut on the black cardboard a circle with a border that fits the size of the toilet paper tube. On the other hand, what will simulate the glass of the lens will be a silver-colored circle previously measured, drawn and cut.

Paso 5. En la cartulina plateada, dibujamos y recortamos un círculo más pequeño que el disparador de la cámara, el cual simulará el botón de On/Off y un triángulo pequeño para el señalador de posición. Cuando el disparador de la cámara, el lente objetivo, la zapata del flash y el botón de On/Off estén listos y totalmente secos, se pegaran en sus respectivos lugares de posición en la caja.

Step 5. On the silver cardboard, draw and cut out a circle smaller than the camera shutter release button, which will simulate the On/Off button and a small triangle for the position marker. When the camera shutter, the objective lens, the flash shoe and the On/Off button are ready and completely dry, they will be glued in their respective positions on the box.

Paso 6. Como me gusta reciclar, recorté una imagen de una flor de un perfume de Victorio y Lucchino # 6 que me regaló mi esposo. Sabía que en algún momento me sería útil 😍 y se la pegué a la cajita para darle un toque diferente. Aparte, como mi profesora de Comunicación es muy coqueta y está súper adaptada a la tecnología de hoy en día, tiene su propio sticker personalizado con su imagen. Lo cogí de una de sus presentaciones de PowerPoint y lo imprimí para colocarselo a su cajita. Ella quedó super encantada y esa fue la satisfacción más grande para mí y mi grupo de clase.

Step 6. Since I like to recycle, I cut out an image of a flower from a Victorio y Lucchino # 6 perfume that my husband gave me. I knew it would come in handy at some point 😍 and I glued it to the box to give it a different touch. Besides, as my Communication teacher is very flirty and is super adapted to today's technology, she has her own personalized sticker with her image. I took it from one of her PowerPoint presentations and printed it to put it on her box. She was super delighted and that was the greatest satisfaction for me and my class group ✌️
