Praying Mantis Insect - Insecto Mantis Religiosa
Hello friends nature lovers, I had some time without sharing in the #amazingnature community but I had not returned to have a close encounter with animal nature which is the one I like the most.
Today in the backyard of the house look who I found, this cute insect known in my country as Praying Mantis, on this occasion was frightened by my presence and taught me his best fighting position with a good movement of the hind legs and fists or front legs defensively.
Hola amigos amantes de la naturaleza tenía tiempo sin compartir en la comunidad de #amazingnature pero es que no había vuelto a tener un encuentro cercano con la naturaleza animal que es la que más me gusta.
Hoy en el patio de la casa miren a quien me encontré, a este lindo insecto conocido en mi país como Mantis Religiosa, en esta ocasión se asustó con mi presencia y me enseñó su mejor posición de combate con un buen movimiento de las patas traseras y los puños o patas delanteras a la defensiva.
When they get angry they open their tail which looks like a shell when relaxed but when angry they open it resembling a butterfly.
I have never seen them in this brown color, they are always green. They can be green or brown with different shades and the color is determined by the environment in which it lives (for example, yellow, if it is dry straw, or green if it is fresh grass). After having her for a while she or he did not want to let go of my hand, but I left her in a tree to relax.
Cuando se enojan abren su cola que parecen un caparazón cuando están relajadas pero al enojarse lo abren pareciéndose a una mariposa.
Nunca las había visto de este color marrón, siempre de color verde. Después de tenerla un buen rato ella o él no querían soltarme la mano, pero la deje en un árbol para que se relajara.

In other of my publications I showed the green-colored Praying Mantises and explained in depth their characteristics, however today I mention them again these insects have a medium size of approximately 6 to 7 cm, with a long thorax and thin antennae.
They have two large compound eyes and three small simple eyes between them, for a total of 5 eyes, many eyes to see, they have excellent vision and that is compensation of nature for having only one ear that is located on their thorax.
En otras de mis publicaciones mostré las Mantis Religiosas de color verde y explique a fondo sus características, sin embargo hoy se las menciono de nuevo estos insectos poseen un tamaño mediano de aproximadamente 6 a 7 cm, con un tórax largo y unas antenas delgadas.
tienen dos grandes ojos compuestos y tres ojos simples pequeños entre ellos, para un total de 5 ojos, muchos ojos para ver, tienen una excelente visión y eso es una compensación de la naturaleza por poseer un solo oído que se encuentra ubicado en su tórax.
The head can rotate up to 180º and its front legs, which it keeps tucked in, are provided with spines to hold its prey. The mantis is carnivorous and a patient predator. It is capable of waiting for its prey, for which it waits almost motionless and attacks by surprise and quickly.
They are solitary animals except during the breeding season when males and females seek each other out to mate. A female can lay up to 400 eggs in each clutch, and they usually hatch in spring, although only a few survive due to cannibalism among them.
La cabeza puede girar hasta 180º y sus patas delanteras, que mantiene recogidas están provistas de espinas para sujetar a sus presas. La mantis es carnívora y una depredadora paciente. Es capaz de aguardar a su presa, a quien espera casi inmóvil y ataca por sorpresa y con rapidez.
Son animales solitarios excepto en la época de reproducción, cuando macho y hembra se buscan para aparearse. Una hembra puede colocar hasta 400 huevos en cada puesta, y suelen eclosionar en primavera, aunque solo unos pocos sobreviven debido al canibalismo entre ellos.
The female takes things to the extreme sexually, eating her partner during or after intercourse, with a life expectancy of about one year.
To conclude, there is Chinese martial art, Kung Fu, inspired by this animal in a self-defense style.
La hembra lleva las cosas a lo extremo en lo sexual, se come a su pareja durante o después del coito siendo su esperanza de vida de alrededor de un año.
Para concluir les comento que existe un arte marcial Chino el Kung Fu inspirada en este animal en un estilo de autodefensa.
