For the past few days, the weather has been quite pleasant, so I've been spending most of my time working outside. As I mentioned in my last post, I received a request for a model tank, and I've spent only a few minutes each day working on the model.

This is the American T29 heavy tank. I already had a model of this tank, but it wasn't very good, suitable only for 1:285 scale. Upon receiving a request to scale it up to 1:100, I had a good excuse to make a more detailled model. Though I didn't have decent drawings of the T29, I had since made a model of the M26 Pershing, and the T29 is little more than a larger version.
Это Американский тяжёлый танк Т29. Уже у меня был модель этого танка, но это был не очень хорошо, только на масштаба 1:285. При получении запроса масштабировать на 1:100, у меня было хорошее оправдание создать более детализированную модель. Хотя у меня и не было хорошие чертежи для Т29, с тех пор я создал модель для М26 «Першинг», и Т29 немного больше чем увеличенная версия.

Since the T29 uses many of the same components and other design elements as the M26, much of the work involved copying those elements from my model of the M26, including that ridiculous linkage connecting the first road wheel and front idler that I've ranted about before (https://hive.blog/tanks/@steampunkkaja/whose-idea-was-this).
