Welcome to another one of my Tarot Tuesday posts! I started doing these free readings monthly back in late 2015, then switched to every week in early 2016. They're by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. Today's reading is for the week of September 29th 2020.
Hard to believe it's almost October already! And what an October it's going to be, with two full moons as bookends to the month. I plan to put together infographics for each, and post them on my Hive blog and Pinterest, so be sure to keep your eyes open if you're interested. Speaking of both, I've also redone my post footer a bit, and have links to the social media sites I'm most active on, rather than that long list of places that are mostly dust covered...lol. Please feel free to let me know what you think of the changes.
EDITED TO ADD: Apologies to anyone who noticed, about the confusion with the dates. When I set up a new Tarot Tuesday post, I have a draft post that I use, and I've gotten into the habit of setting up the framework for the next week before starting on the current (so that way I can just focus on the cards & reading and not worry about the nitty gritty details). Somehow yesterday, when I set up the post for October 6th and September 29th, I then proceeded to add today's reading to the October rough draft! As soon as I noticed it (which was when I went to get the links to share on social media), I changed the date to September 29th where I could, but in some spots it still shows up as October 6th. That's what I get for getting distracted with my footer...lol!
And now with that said, it's time to start the reading. The setup of how I do these was not my original idea - I was actually inspired by how a few other bloggers were doing their readings back years ago. And since this method is a little bit different than how some other readers on other social media do them (usually posting the card backs first, then the messages at a later time), here's a quick breakdown on how this works...
First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three, in whatever order you like!When you've decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.
Also, don't be worried if you don't happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊
I would also like to mention...
Now here are the backs of the cards for this week. Take a moment to clear your mind, inhale and exhale deeply, center yourself - whatever you need to do to focus. When you're ready, take a look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. Then scroll down to the bottom of the post for the picture of the front of the cards, and your message.
Next up, as a bit of insurance policy to make sure you don't see the picture of the front of the cards before you've made your choice, I'm putting some of my infographics here as a type of spacer/spoiler prevention. As I said, the first of two full moons for October will be on Thursday the first, and while I don't have the specific infographic ready to go yet (got distracted playing with icons for my footer), I do have this pair of full moon rituals I've created over the years.

1. Seven of Swords
The Thief. Something is being stolen from you, but not necessarily an object. Someone is stealing your good name, your energy, or your time. However, because the situation isn’t overt (they’re being very sneaky), a direct confrontation probably won’t work. Try being sneaky in return – like the old saying goes, “it takes a thief to catch a thief.”
Tarot Tidbit: The Seven of Swords hasn't been seen in about 9 months! The last time it was also in the first position, way back at the beginning of the year, on January 21st, 2020. Prior to that, it also hadn't been since for about nine months, showing up (also in the first position), way back on April 9th, 2019.
2. Three of Cups
Time to celebrate. . Cue the dance music. Things are falling into place, even if you don't see all the pieces yet. It's time to grab your family and friends (local or online) and get your groove thing on. Don't stop to try and analyze the situation - just enjoy the (practical) magic of the moment, and give in to the joy. Even if it's something as simple as turning up the radio and dancing around in your kitchen with some midnight margaritas. You deserve this happiness.
Tarot Tidbit: The Three of Cups was last seen, in the first position, back at the beginning of summer on June 30th, 2020. Prior to that, it showed up on May 20th, 2020 also in the first position, which was the first time it had been back since February 12th, 2019) (where it was also in the first position).
3. Four of Cups
Rethink your situation. You're not happy with the way things are. In fact, you're so focused on the things you wish you had, that you don't see the very thing you want being offered to you. Take a step back and think about how you're viewing the situation - stop sulking about what could have been, or what you might have had, and start appreciating what is, and the blessings you might not even recognize. And while this applies to all situations in your life, not just romantic ones, I think Survivor sums it up nicely with, "I was living for a dream, loving for a moment. Taking on the world, that was just my style. Now I look into your eyes, I can see forever. The search is over, you were with me all the while."
Tarot Tidbit: The last time we saw the Four of Cups was way back on Christmas Day, December 25th 2018! Yes, it's been almost two years since it's shown up, and the time before it was also in the first position, back during the summer of 2018 on August 14th.
Extra Tarot Tidbit: I found it interesting that all three cards this week were previously in the first position in prior appearances. It also struck me as I was taking the pictures that together, the Cups add up to seven - my exact-ish thought was, "oh cool - the cups together equal the seven from the sword card." Not sure if either of those things are significant to anyone, but thought I'd mention it just in case.

Love this! I choose the 2nd card & it is such an awesome message....:) I am starting to take a new direction here a bit & this confirms the joy that is coming. So, it's time to be grateful in the present moment & dance a little he he.

Firstly, loving the new footer! Makes a lot of sense to have where you're most active there, otherwise people may follow and be like, why aren't you posting?! Haha! Like the hyperlinked logos, I haven't checked they all go to the right place though.
So I picked The Thief and I guess it's true to some extent. There's a lot of sneaky buggers around but I can also be a sneaky bugger with some tricks up my sleeve should I need (as long as the thief hasn't stolen my sleeve as well lol)!
