Hello friends, today I had a breakfast in the food stall in front of Zamrud Lobby, Blok M Square – South Jakarta. Actually in the morning, in this area there are many food stalls seller, around 5.30 AM – 8.30 PM.
This was the Ketupat Sayur’s stall
It was crowded and had many customers. The area was not big but it was quite clean. The food that they sold only ketupat sayur Padang.
We ordered the ketupat sayur, it was Padangnese (West Sumatran, Indonesian) Food. The Ketupat sayur consisted of the cutted rice cake with the savory soup made from coconut milk, then it served with some vegetables (the authentic Padang used the daun pakis – fern leaves and sayur nangka – made from young jackfruit’s) and also the fried chips (Padangnese special used the non flavor pink color fried chips).
This Ketupat Sayur’s flavor was so yummy and tasty. The texture of the ketupat (rice cake) was not to hard or soft, and easy to bite and swallow. The soup’s flavor so tasty, savory and yummy.
The vegetables were also tasty and soft. To netralize the savory taste, they also served it with the non flavor krupuk (fried chips).
You could also add some topping like tofu or any other sold here.
With the deliciousness and how cheap they sold it (only 8,000 IDR or around 0.55 USD for a portion), no wonder many customers eat here. We’ll back here for sure.
