Telstra’s tech cred matters a lot to its chief executive Andy Penn. He is palpably injured by references to the telco being a dumb pipe company.
He much prefers the image of unshaven tech-exec while on his January pilgrimage to Las Vegas for the consumer digital gadgetary festival, known as CES. That is something he likes to crow about.
