Picked up some trees and 20 bags of topsoil today. Mixed together with some crushed limestone and guinea pig doodoo, things grow well in the clay. Already have two apple so grabbed 2 more - Granny Smith and a Golden Delicious - plus 3 peach trees. Have about a fifth of an acre to clear to plant 6 new ones. I say 6 because the girls have grown a Red Delicious from seeds they got out of apples from the store! Pretty happy it made it through the winter. Also picked up six red raspberries to compliment the blue and blacks. Grapes look good and need to prune them all. Might have enough to make some #wine this year!

Wao wao, the apples are delicious. Here in my country they are very very expensive, but, in the time I was able to buy them, I found them exquisite. How great that you can harvest them yourself. My mother is a farmer and has a farm where she plants many species of fruits and vegetables, besides having cattle, it is a beautiful life in the country (although not for me hahaha). You're not a country girl huh? We don't have any kind of livestock, but it is on the list. Fence needs a few repairs before that happens and its not top of the list lol! Cool you can go to mom's and get some fresh food though! 😍🤗
Hahahahaha I like to go visit her. Maybe if I stay a while I will get used to the quietness of the countryside. They always bring us delicious things but no apples .. a big hug for you again and a happy start of the week. 🤗😘🌹

Yeah I have to start soon too. (but) I cannot even buy soil/compost for the veggie garden I have. Due to corona garden centers are closed and they do not deliver these 40L bags. Have to look elsewhere quickly,,
Still? I thought the Netherlands were a little less strict with their isolation tactics now? You may do well to look for some online 😁
