Snowboarding in Mt Ruapehu - Ohakune, New Zealand (2015)

in #travel6 years ago

Back in 2015 I was living in New Zealand and I was lucky enough to be able to take 3 months off and spend it snowboarding in a cool little town near some ski fields. Me and and a bunch of friends rented a house and did nothing but have fun. Cooking homemade hearty meals, having beers and last but not least, snowboarding all we could. We got ourselves whole season passes and man did we gave those good use. Sometimes we would go to the mountain 5 days in a week, exhausting but so much fun!

Here are some pictures from those days, quality is not the best since these are phone pictures, but well... they are decent enough.

Hope you like them!

People would leave their backpacks there and go skiing. Gotta love NZ. In Uruguay you turn around and your stuff is gone!

A friend of mine lost his travel documents too going through Uruguay, it was completely stolen so I understood quite well what you meant, it's really cold in NZ that's why the snow ski is possible, no?

Best winter ever!
