My Next Travel Destination

in #travel4 years ago

Hello Hello and Hello

These past couple of weeks i was absent from Steemit and it only seemed like a day. Anyway all those of you who know me, i like travelling a lot. I especially like visiting countries that i haven't visit before as well as countries that have a totally different culture from mine.

A personal goal i set a couple of years ago was to visit at least one country per 2 years. The 2 years limit is due to my budget and ofc i am also working on it cause i want to increase my travels as much as possible. Some of you may say that travelling can come at some low cost and therefore become affordable, if you cut some amenities. Some ways are:

  • Rent a hostel room or an Airbnb
  • Fly with a low cost airline
  • Choose the economy class
  • Try not to spent to much money one shopping or drinking
  • Use public transportation
  • Book your flight tickets a couple of months before

All of the above ideas are actually pretty good options and when i am travelling most of them are a must for me. At this point though i can proudly say that i draw the line. "What do you mean by this you may wonder" Some people may give more ideas and by following them you can reduce the cost even more, those ideas or options if you wish are:

  • Rent a room with total strangers (Thanks but no Thanks, Filotasriza3 doesn't share his bathroom with strangers)
  • Just take a back-bag and sleep wherever you can, even in parks, beaches (I want my  private bed/couch and my Toilet! i am a simple man with simple needs!)
  • Travel around by Autostop (only when i am desperate or lost!)
  • Signs asking for money to travel the world (i have self-respect!)

As you can clearly get by now, i am not the kind of person who gonna use these options even though i can respect for example those that don't care if they sleep in a park or in the beach. I just want to have a clean personal room with a toilet and bed/couches that i can share with the people i choose to travel with, or the owner of the house if it's an Airbnb. Thus, i need to have some budgeting!

The Destination we chose

Long story sort last year i visited Beijing and at the start of this year New York City! Now it's time for a closer destination so we chose Europe. More specifically, me and some good friends are gonna visit Denmark during December and we gonna stay in Copenhagen. The tickets and the place we gonna stay are all set so what's left is a better planning on what we are going to see and do there.

Also, that was the reason i was not paying too much attention to steemit, i was trying to plan everything from finding a destination that is both affordable, everyone will agree to it, the culture is different and is considered a "go to" for Christmas!

Now let me ask you some questions my fellow Steemians

Have you visited Copenhagen? or Are you born in Copenhagen or living there?

Can you give me any tips on what to visit/do there/how to treat and talk to locals without getting our asses kicked?
