First family trip with the 2 boys. We call it a success!

in #travel3 years ago (edited)

Well, after the birth of our second boy, and a little bit before it, we haven’t travelled a lot. It was a part due to the COVID situation and restrictions, or difficulties around last months of pregnancy, but now we decided to give a chance of traveling, at least before the next virus wave.

The young man was 2 months old when we travelled. We weren’t sure how we would travel with such a young guy, but we went brave into this adventure. The place we chose was relatively close to our city, about an hour and a half away, so it seemed ok. The village is named Starosel and the place is a huge spa complex with an outside pool and a couple of indoor ones.

The complex is very neat and built in a traditional Bulgarian style, hosting a great amount of wide fields and green meadows. This was very relaxing and our bigger boy seemed to like it a lot too. He is 2 years old and had a great joy, especially with the peacocks.

In the complex there is a zoo in one of the corners, where various wild animals are to be seen. Peacocks though are walking freely between the buildings and in the green fields.
The weather was hot, but luckily the pools were around and we managed to cool ourselves when we needed it.

The meals were the most difficult part in our opinion, partly because the baby was not always sleeping, and a crying baby in the restaurant would be very disturbing for the other visitors. The other difficulty with the bigger boy was that he is very impatient and he cannot stay and wait for the food to be served. Thanks god, the meals were ready, we were on a half board and we picked our dishes from already cooked ones, so he wasn’t supposed to wait a lot for his food.

Evenings seemed to be even more beautiful and peaceful.

To be honest, the challenge to be on a vacation with two babies was not very easy one, but we managed to deal with this. We were two nights there and now we know that we will be able to cope with longer vacations too. After all it was not a peaceful and easy trip for us, but after all we are one big family and need to go here and there together. Now we just look forward for the future destinations to visit.

Stay healthy and positive!
See you soon.

It looks like you had fun except for not being able to use the restaurant? I can tell that your older son loved it :) What was the zoo like ❓

It was very hot, so we decided not to go in the zoo this time. Furthermore, we’ve been told it’s a lot of walking on relatively steep roadways, which was bot very suitable for the kids. Maybe when they grew bigger we will visit the this place again, and most likely the zoo too!

Oh, more like a preserve :) Definitely a good choice to wait.
