Return to GR 131 (Day 7) / Návrat na GR131 (Den 7)

Moisture was not at night, but it was really cold. Somehow we did not realize that we are at an altitude of 1000 meters above sea level and in the deep valley. The temperature dropped by an estimated 0 degrees and that was enough for my summer sleeping bag. That was why we quickly left the place and started to warm up.

Vlhkost sice v noci nebyla, ale za to byla pořádná zima. Nějak nám nedošlo že jsme ve výšce 1000 metrů nad mořem a navíc v hlubokém údolí. Teplota klesla odhadem k 0 stupňům a to bylo na můj letní spacák dost málo. To byl důvod proč jsme rychle opustili místo a dali se do pohybu, aby jsme se zahřáli.

Around the road were several abandoned quarries, which were secured by stones. Some of them flowed water, so we replenished supplies. Before we reached the next intersection we climbed up to 1,400 meters. The road was still through the pine forest and so there were not many places to take pictures.

Kolem cesty bylo několik opuštěných lomů, které byli zajištěny kameny. Z některých z nich tekla voda a tak jsme doplnili zásoby. Než jsme došli na další křižovatku vystoupali jsme do 1400 metrů. Cesta vedla pořád borovým lesem a tak nebylo moc míst k focení fotografií.

At the next intersection we reconnected to GR 131 and after that we continued higher.

Na další křižovatce jsme se napojili opět na GR 131 a po té jsme pokračovali stále výše.

After GR 131 we continued up to the turn-off to the top of El Gaitero where the lookout tower was marked according to the map. But in fact it was a fire tower. The plan was to spend the night here. But it started to be complicated by the strong wind that started to rise in the evening. So we had to find a place to be in the lee. Finally, I found one of these hidden among low pine trees.

Po GR 131 jsme pokračovali až na odbočku k vrcholu El Gaitero kde byla podle mapy označená rozhledna. Ale ve skutečnosti se jednalo o protipožární věž. Plán byl zde přenocovat. Jenomže nám to začal komplikovat silný vítr, který se začal v podvečer zvedat. Tak jsme si museli najít místo, které bude v závětří. Nakonec jsem jedno takové našel schované mezi nízkými borovicemi.

When we were staying, we were surprised. Several vehicles arrived on the hill before dark. People pulled out baskets and started walking in the woods. We realized that they are here on mushrooms. In addition, it was a full moon and it illuminated the forest, so the mushrooms with white hats shone in the forest. When the last car left we went to bed.

Když jsme byli ubytováni, čekalo nás překvapení. Na kopec přijelo před setměním několik vozidel. Lidé vytáhly košíky a začali chodit po lese. Došlo nám že jsou zde na houbách. Navíc byl úplněk a ten osvěcoval les, takže houby s bílými klobouky v lese zářili. Když poslední auto odjelo šli jsme spát.

On the sixth day, he was not very nutritious because the landscape was quite monotonous all the time. We walked 11.4 km and climbed 1474 meters.

Šestý den, nebyl zrovna záživný, protože krajina byla po celou dobu dosti monotónní. Ušli jsme 11.4 km a překonali převýšení 1474 metrů.

V životě jsem nic takovýho neviděl, ale dávalo to smysl. Než hledat bílou ve žlutý, tak radši hledat bílou v tmavě šedý až černý barvě.
