I'm back from my week in Jerusalem. I was working a lot of the time, but managed to see some of this amazing city. It's just mind-boggling to think that you are walking around where the bible stories happened, even as a non-believer.
On my last day I did a tour of the Tower of David. This old fortress has a great view across the city. I also saw the excavations they have done to find some of the palace built by King Herod a couple of thousand years ago.
One of my posts about my travels turned into one of my most successful ever thanks to some big whale votes. I really don't expect to make that much, so it's a pleasant surprise.

Whilst travelling I finally managed to complete the latest Neal Stephenson book. My review post has more than paid for the book.

So my wallet is looking pretty good right now. I'm building up my Steem Dollars so that I can look at doing some buying of whatever is available out there. I'd like to spend SBD directly rather than having to convert to something else. So I may be using Peerhub. I'm also looking to add to my guitar pick collection and will pay postage using SBD. I may pay more if anyone offers something special. I actually had another offer to send me some from Australia, but the contributor has declined my postage offer. I'll report on what I receive.

That's quite a week! You better go on more travel adventures, lol. : )
I don't know when I'll be travelling again. I don't do it much for work these days
Same here. It's nice when you have some time to see the sights and experience the flavor of the area, too.
Thank you. I wrote it with pleasure.
Really cool post!
I never really had the opportunity to travel, But post like these allows me to travel through your experiences - so to speak.
thank you for sharing.
I've been lucky. Happy to share
