Apart from admiring nice nature around the River Kwai Jungle Rafts by boat (refer to my previous post; https://hive.blog/travel/@tangmo/river-kwai-jungle-rafts-one-of-the-nice-resorts-on-the-river-in-kanchanaburi-province-in-the-west-of-thailand-part-iii), you can also explore the jungle on foot. And if you are interested in studying the local Mon tribe and learn their way of life and culture, you can visit their village that is not far away from the resort.
I think they have a very nice village in the jungle. Mon people in this village are all friendly.
They have their own traditional houses….that are simple and connect to nature; i.e. all of their houses were built from local materials such as woods, bamboo, coconut leaves, etc.
They have their own traditional temple. The golden pagoda, Buddha images, and sculptures, etc...... are magnificent and amazing.
They have their own traditional school....an open-air classroom.....that is lovely. You can learn how their children study in this school closely. They are innocent and adorable.
In my opinion, these things; their houses, their temple, and their school, are unique and beautiful in their styles.
In the meantime, their elephant is so cute and tamed. (the elephant is one of my most favorite animals.)
With the help of its trainer, you can ride or feed it closely.
I also love that there are plenty of trees in the jungle. These create stunning views and make the area look refreshing.
I admire that they live simply and peacefully among nice nature indeed. Although they have simple lives, they are rich in their culture. I believe that you will learn a lot from their culture as well.
Yeah! You will certainly have an impressive experience visiting this nice Mon village.
This is an ideal life that I love…. How about you?
