Napokae is a beautiful tourist attraction of Phatthalung province, in the South of Thailand, as I presented to you in my post 3 years ago, if you can remember.... ;D
Today, I would like to show you new photos of the place that my sister recently visited.
"Napokae" is Phatthalung (Southern) language means rice field of grandfather or ancestor.
Na means rice field
Po Kae means grandfather or ancestor
Napokae is the place where you can touch the way of Thai farmers’ lives; their rice fields, their buffaloes, their tools for plowing or fishing, their cottages, etc.
The big white letters below were said "Napokae" in the Thai language.
On the right side of the letters, you will see an old cart and on the left side of the letters, you will see an old blue truck. I think it's a creative idea to use these things for the decoration of the place.
Buffalo plays an important role in their daily life. No doubt, this giant buffalo that was made from straw is the significant symbol of this place.
In the meantime, there are real buffaloes in the area. They are so cute and friendly.
You can feed them with fresh grass closely.
At Napokae, you can touch fresh air and admire closely the surrounding nature that is so beautiful… The greenery makes you feel refreshed and relaxed.
All of the cottages and bridges were built with natural materials; i.e., bamboo, straw, woods, etc.
They go along with nature around very well.
In case, if you are tired, you may take a break with some snacks, fresh cool drinks, or local Thai foods, in the shops among nice nature.
Or if you love products from natural materials, you can buy from various shops around the area.
Last but not least, in the below two photos you will see the examples of tools that they use in their daily life; these giant things are for decoration.
Very amazing, right?
If you are a nature lover and would love to learn the way of life of Thai farmers in Phatthalung, Napokae is the right place for you.
Very nice and natural atmosphere! There’s so much to see there!
You are right! Many thanks for your nice comment. I'm glad you like this place. ;)
