It has been awhile since I visit the Kuala Lumpur's aquarium. Noted to be one of the top 5 in Asia, or so they say... It was exciting because the last time I came here was about more than 5 years ago with a bunch of friends, and now for the first time after lockdown has lifted, my friends and I decided to visit this place again. Some of them for the first time.

Aquaria KLCC is located underground of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre also known as the twin towers. If you don't know the infamous twin towers of Malaysia, you should look up on google as it's one of the iconic also almost listed as one of the 7 wonders of the world? For its architecture ingenious back in the days.

We reached KLCC at about 11.30pm after having our breakfast at Mcdonalds. We were slightly late and that could mean that the aquarium would be filled with locals and tourists alike hoping to catch a glimpse of nature's swimming critters.

From otters, piranhas, gobys, and many more, the place was packed with not only fishes but crying and screaming babies... Man... I wished parents with kids younger than 3 year olds are not allowed into places like these. The place was like a night market and everyone was squeezing their family everywhere. There goes a covid cluster. Kids weren't even wearing masks. Now I wonder why our cases will never go down.

Apart from the annoying kids and families, the place was quite well maintained. For Malaysia standard, it's already above average. I'm pretty sure the government invested a lot to keep the place running and well as this aquaria is vital to Malaysia's tourism attraction. We used to be one of the go to countries for tourism until covid as of late.

After about an hour, we finished the whole aquarium circuit and were brought through the gift shops selling dead resin embedded insects. We were hungry so we went to chillis to grab our lunch. The queue was long and the crowd was still pouring in as it's a weekend and lockdown being lifted...so yea. Even after all the hassle and crowd, I'm still glad that I'm still able to visit places like this in Malaysia and that covid hasn't taken us all down. Keep fighting the good fight people.

Have a great week ahead.
