Incredible Street Art in Melbourne!

Me in front of a cool street art work at AC/DC lane

To finish my posts about Melbourne, today I'd like to show you our street art experiences in Melbourne. The graffitis were pretty much the first thing we visited in Melbourne. In the internet you will find many pages where you will be introduced to a route that you can follow and see the different graffiti, because they are spread all over the city! It was really a challenge to see all graffitti in one or two days. But we just drove all over the city and have already seen a lot. If you are not in Melbourne for a long time, I would recommend that you stop by the graffitis because they are sometimes very far apart. On the photos you can see only a small part of the photos that we all made. To be honest the street art was with the Eureka skydeck the most beautiful attraction! It was really great, completely free and right on a street to admire this art. When people think of melbourne, mostly they think of street art among others as well. That was definitely not the case for me at the beginning but it has changed since we were in melbourne right away. In the following i would likte to show you the citys best street mural hotspots.

On of our favorite street art hotspots was definitly the Hosier Lane. Hosier Lane is located across from Federation Square and connects Flinders Lane with Flinders Street. As we found out it is the center of the citys street art scene. We spent a very long time there and looked at the great graffiti. The street art is also great for taking selfie and shooting photos. At some graffiti points we even had to wait to take a picture of us with it.I particularly liked the street art on the two pictures below. Especially the street art where i sit in a window frame had really nice colors on the house wall. Definitely one of the most beautiful motives I think! This motif of the girl can also be seen on the hosier lane.

Also very worth seeing was the AC/DC lane. There we also shot the first picture, as you might see on the street sign;)

AC/DC Lane was named back in 2004 to pay tribute to the Australian rock band. The street art features all kinds of musicians, both real and imagined.

If you liked my article about street art in melbourne i would be very happy about an upvote or a comment. This was my last post about Melbourne, let's see what comes afterwards;)

The last image shows somewhat different from graffiti. It's strange that graffiti in Melbourne would be scattered across the town, usually, it's all in one place, like a graffiti quartal.

Loved the chalk-like graffiti in the first image!

MIt Streetart macht man mir immer eine Freude!
Herzlichen Dank.
