Where to find help learning Hive
Over the last year or so, when I’ve posted my writing, I’ve crossposted to Uptrennd & Hive. Hive was my first crypto home and I’ve never left it.
Uptrennd was started by a guy who tried Steem, didn’t like the experience and decided he was going to create his own crypto social media platform. One with a crypto token but not a blockchain.
I’m sure you’ll be shocked to learn, when you have another platform’s problems all fixed, you’re probably a genius.
Uptrennd was meant to correct all the problems inherent with Steem and later Hive. But, the founder didn’t allow for one minor detail, people are people. You can fix problems all you want, but most times, people will figure a way around or over the fix to get what they want. You have to have the dedication to keep adjusting as needed.
Unlike Hive, the founder of Uptrennd has thrown in the towel. He’s closing it down come the end of May. He struck a deal with another platform which has yet to go live and when it does, it will be a site about crypto. Not a site like Uptrennd or the Hive blogging frontends.
This throws all the non-crypto bloggers out with the bath water.
And unlike Hive, when Uptrennd shuts down those servers, your content goes with it. There are a lot of other differences between Hive and Uptrennd besides there being a dedicated team of developers, witnesses, investors and users keeping it all going on Hive.
For those who have been on Uptrennd as their introduction to the world of crypto, you’re going to find a culture shock in many ways. The principles of how to blog and how to build a tribe of followers and community, those remain the same.
How to operate on Hive, that’s a learning experience. It’s a learning experience @bluefinstudios and I are willing to help you to bridge the gap on.
The Community on Tiger Trennds
Those of you familiar with the Tiger Trennds discord and Uptrennd University already know us. We have also been on Hive for a few years along with @dreemsteem (founder of Tiger Trennds, Uptrennd University, Dreemflare and more) which is where we met and became friends.
There’s a community on Tiger Trennds discord , one that has felt at home on Uptrennd for the last year or so. Their home is going to change but that community is not going any where.
You’re welcome to join in if you’re in need of learning how the new Hive home works. Or if you’re already on Hive and want to meet the neighbours, you’re welcome too.

Its been a culture shock alright, this move from uptrennd to Hive. Yeah, Jeff has thrown out the baby with the bath water and that shock is still not wearing off LOL

i think that once the dust settles you'll find the experience of Hive will be worth the culture shock
Believe me, I am already enjoying this platform so much. I find that there is a niche for all my interests and passion here.
Thanks a lot for compiling the introduction video to educate more people about hive experience.
Hive can be confusing in the start as there is a lot going on always and some of the concepts need some time to be digested.
But with time you get comfortable with it. This is the first time i am hearing about Uptrennd, nayways it's going to be shutdown. so no worries.
It was an interesting experience. Met some good people, many of them are or will be coming over to Hive. Stop by the session tomorrow if you have time. It will be recorded as well.
I hope someday soon the community on Hive will enjoy a resurgence of energy like it had in the early days of Steem. I don't miss Steem and I don't miss Ned or any of the b.s. that went along with that whole platform. But I do miss the Ramble and the fun times we all had before people did their thing and peopled.

It has been quite a bit of fun, helping our Uptrennd friends to migrate to Hive. I have been thrilled to participate and help them along.
You do a great job leading them, just like our very own pied piper.
Hahahhahahahh... Uptrennd, voice... Most centralized platforms do not last even 3 years, and all content of people and followers is lost forever.
Remember the days of uptrennd, too bad the team couldn't keep up with bringing the necessary development.
I believe hive is a much better place, not centralised as uptrend was. Nice thing moving pals from there to hive
doesn't help when the founder pulls a Ned and doesn't even leave someone else in charge with enough authority to do stuff even when he's out of touch. But, the move to Hive will be good for those who come over.
That's the major problem with a centralised system. The new entrants into hive will find here a better place for engagement of getting real value
ha, I was cencored and my account was removed in uptrend about a year ago. That platform was going to die anyway. lol Glad I didn't waste time there !
They had a strict policy about plagiarism and spam which got people muted for a period of time. It was really rare to hear someone lost their account completely. You sure you didn't misunderstand what occurred?
Maybe they didn't like me promoting an other blockchain. I never spamed and all my content is original. Yeah, I just lost the accessto my account. They restricted me.
Hive is the best for me
Wow I joined you guys via email to get my daily keyword, I need a lot of help coming up with ideas for my blogging. About Uptrennd, I read your publication and the truth is that I am one of the disappointed users, but many of us must know that this world is not easy and if they do not give it all the love and care, it will get to where Uptrennd arrived. I have been at Hive for 4 years (since Steemit started) and now I like it more and more. Thank you for the help you offer to all equally.
