Twittering

I recently decided to give Twitter another try. I never liked the way that social network worked. It always struck me as vapidity with rapidity. Lots of demands for my attention with little real content. Lots of shitposters who can't handle real discourse. Instead of using the character limit for refined arguments, it's just hot takes without any philosophical grounding whatsoever. Here are a few of my contributions to the torrential nonsense.

When I was a kid, the flag was almost never flown at half-staff. Over the past 20 years, it seems more like it's becoming a yo-yo. This flag idolatry and repeated nationalist mourning ritual is downright creepy. link

It seems "follow the science" isn't the mantra when evidence contradicts the authoritarian hypothesis. link

Consumption requires prior production. If you consume without producing, someone else produced without consuming. This can occur voluntarily or coercively. Coercion has no place in civilized society. Every government policy is imposed coercively. #politics #economics #mikedrop link
