Is it possible for a frog to live without head and face? It feels like hearing a horror story but that's what happened. A Herpetologist named Jill Fleming managed to document the rare moment of the frog without the face and head. The discovery of the American frog (Anaxyrus Americanus species) occurred in the Connecticut Forest when Fleming conducted research research on red spots.

Fleming told me that at first he accidentally saw the strangeness of a frog that often hit objects around it. Fleming suspected that the cause of frogs without face and head was not due to genetic abnormalities, aka hereditary defects. Because if you live without your mouth, nose with this important organ how can it grow to adulthood without looking for food and drink.

The possibility of the frog being injured while doing the hibernation process, as is often done by other reptile animals. Suppose a predator is eating its face and head. So when he wakes up from hibernation he no longer has a head.

Another opinion came from a veterinarian named Lydia Franklinos responding to Fleming's tweet on Twitter. According to him the cause of a strange frog without a head's face could have been due to infected fly larvae (Lucilia Bufonivora).

So this fly larvae is very evil can make meat rotten, slowly the meat will be gnawed, as well as the frog bone tissue will be destroyed because indeed the frog bones tend to be brittle. I don't know how long he was able to survive without eating and drinking because he no longer had that face and head, said the animal doctor who said shyly about the name of his ex.
