Those dominoes looked like a placeholder for boundary or maybe a mask to hide your development, but as an actual cover, that's probably the last thing I would have guessed.

Have you looked into procedurally generated content? Also known as wave function collapse?

Just trying to build a functional FPS that doesn't piss off players.

I have! It's quite a load on PCs on Unreal Engine in it's current state. Cool stuff.
I really enjoy level design though :)
