Yo suelo ser una persona muy nostálgica en cuanto a los dibujos animados, a menudo los recuerdo y se me viene la infancia, tantos momentos bonitos, desde muy pequeña he disfrutado de este arte, y tengo una excelente memoria para recordar capítulos, personajes, etc, por eso a través de esta plataforma he logrado plasmar estos recuerdos y mis gustos por las series animadas, el turno de hoy es para una muy loca y divertida: La vida moderna de Rocko.
Esta fue una serie creada para Nickelodeon en los 90's, formando parte de una serie de dibujos animados que conformarían lo que para la cadena televisiva se llamarían los Nicktoons, la verdad recuerdo mucho esta serie Rocko era una especie de Wallaby muy pequeño, viviendo en la ciudad de O-town y recuerdo a su mascota, lo cual es un poco ilogico, ya que el también es un animal, su acompañante era un pequeño perro blanco con manchas negras llamado Spunky.
¿De que trataba la serie animada?
Bueno, por lo que recuerdo Rocko era realmente australiano, y decide mudarse a los Estados Unidos, lo cual lo veo como una reflexión acerca del emigrante, no importa de donde vengas, para Rocko la vida no fue nada fácil en su nueva ciudad y enfrento diversos desafíos y problemas, recuerdo con claridad que Rocko tenia la capacidad de deformarse algo muy típico de este tipo de animación con exageraciones, pero en general la esencia de la serie era de tono comedia, sin embargo tenia ciertas aristas que ahora que las veo desde mi edad contenían un poco de humor sexual, con referencias a partes del cuerpo y pequeños chistes con este tono.
En general los días transcurrían en la ciudad de O-town y las aventuras de Rocko junto con sus dos amigos : Heffer el cual era una especie de toro y Filburt el cual era como una tortuga, siempre amaban ir al Chokey Chicken que era su lugar de comida favorito, y recuerdo muy bien que el símbolo era una gallina obesa que daba vueltas que sin nada que decir, para mi es una especie de burla a franquicias de pollo como KFC. Con respecto a los lugares emblemáticos de O-town , esta Conglom-O, una empresa grande dentro de la ciudad, cuyo dueño (todo un patán)es el Sr. Dupette, me causa mucha risa el slogan de la empresa que la verdad investigando un poco lo recordé y es: "usted nos pertenece", una critica bastante fuerte a muchas empresas en el mundo que explotan a miles de trabajadores ¿no creen?, por supuesto que en su momento era una niña y no notaba estos pequeños y específicos detalles, y creo que hoy en día me gusta mucho mas Rocko.
Me causa mucha gracia e intriga la referencia al infierno que existe dentro de la serie y se conoce como "Heck" a donde van los malos o los que están castigados, recuerdo un episodio donde Heffer come mucho y es castigado por gula al Heck en donde es condenado al sufrimiento eterno, recordar estos capítulos para mi ha sido un pasaje de vuelta a mi infancia y reconozco que sin duda algunos de estos dibujos animados no eran muy aptos para niños de mi edad en esa época.
La serie tiene muchos tonos sarcásticos o irónicos hacia lugares en los Estados Unidos como el genial Holl-o-Wood que por supuesto es una burla a Hollywood, sin olvidarnos de la tienda de historietas en donde trabaja nuestro amigo Rocko, el Wallaby emigrante: Repusto de historietas O.
Si mal no recuerdo la serie tiene aun un espacio en nick@tnite en Nickelodeon, pero siendo honesta no he vuelto a verla, hace un par de años logre capturar un capitulo, y por supuesto que me detuve a verlo, esta serie tiene capítulos muy divertidos y locos, desde el capitulo en el que Spunky se enamora de una escoba, hasta el capitulo en el que Heffer descubre que es adoptado ( viviendo con una familia de lobos), de verdad hay unos capítulos muy locos, sin duda esta es una serie animada genial, serie feliz si se trasmitiera de nuevo.

I am very amused and intrigued by the reference to hell that exists within the series and is known as "Heck" where the bad guys or those who are punished go, I remember an episode where Heffer eats a lot and is punished for gluttony to the Heck where is condemned to eternal suffering, remembering these chapters for me has been a passage back to my childhood and I recognize that without a doubt some of these cartoons were not very suitable for children of my age at that time.
The series has many sarcastic or ironic tones towards places in the United States such as the great Holl-o-Wood that of course is a mockery of Hollywood, without forgetting the comic shop where our friend Rocko works, the emigrant Wallaby: Repusto comic book O.
If I remember correctly, the series still has a space on nick @nite on Nickelodeon, but to be honest I have not seen it again, a couple of years ago I managed to capture a chapter, and of course I stopped to see it, this series has very chapters funny and crazy, from the chapter in which Spunky falls in love with a broom, to the chapter in which Heffer discovers that he is adopted (living with a family of wolves), there are really some very crazy chapters, without a doubt this is a Great animated series, happy series if it airs again.
