Hive Powered Coffee

SHOUTOUT TO @SERGIOMENDES

I was delighted to see @sergiomenes' video this morning about going out to buy some coffee with Hive, reminding us all that our token is a utility coin that can be used in real life, and not just an abstract concept like many projects are.

Hive is ready for, and has already solved, many of the challenged other cryptos are supposedly trying to solve. The awareness just isn't there yet.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that sometimes reads a crypto press release and thinks "eh, we can already do that on Hive".

Sure, people should power up if they want to earn interest on their tokens or grow their accounts. The utility aspect of the coin - actually spending it in real life, is what I believe is going to bring mass adoption. Thanks Sergio for reminding us.

Your upvotes for this post will buy Sergio and I some coffee.

Hive to Cannabis (sadly cant prove it due to Canadian regulations on Cannabis Advertisements for businesses)

😭😭

HIVE to Coffee
HIVE to Pizza

Are only around the corner.

HIVE is everyone’s Bitcoin and let’s keep on growing our decentralised HIVE social Network.

Yes indeeeeed!!!! πŸ‘¨β€πŸš’

The earn crypto for blogging angle has been explored in the past. While it definitely is a plus, the median total reward per post is about 80 cents, of which the author gets 40 cents. It could be the equivalent of $4 to $8 in some countries. But I'd rather see it go to those who create content that is engaging and interesting enough to attract crowds of people who do not use the platform to earn. It's those people whose attention is required for any other business logic than HIVE being a pseudo-derivative of BTC to work.

What I'd love to see is analytics on the traffic generated by the posts. Most of the value is ultimately in that. I would be fantastic if Hive front ends enabled people who do not have Hive accounts to leave comments using guest accounts like most other blogging platforms do.

But I'd rather see it go to those who create content that is engaging and interesting enough to attract crowds of people who do not use the platform to earn.

That' would be a dream, but it's proven unrealistic so far. In my thinking, when people start doing the Hive to Coffee thing (micro payments), then who knows, maybe Starbucks, or someone like that, will jump on it for their loyalty card.

Thank You so much for the amazing shoutout and for joining in on this "trend" (hopefully). I can't wait for more people to share their normal daily routines and just share their stories about ways they are spending their HIVE on a normal day. :D

100%! It's a very cool trend I hope it catches on :)

I don't have hive street cred lol but you do. So people might listen to You eheh
