My VIMM ideas for building the biggest blockchain based streaming platform ever

in #vimm3 years ago

Good Early Hours of the morning it is 2 AM here in the UK hehe

Today's post is all about VIMM.

What is VIMM?

#VIMM is A live streaming platform built on the HIVE blockchain, VIMM is A live video platform for gamers and independent creators it is for everyone.

What makes VIMM the best platform?

Many, many reasons!

Earn from your very first stream

That's right with VIMM you the streamer can earn from day one! Earn HIVE but not only HIVE... the viewers can subscribe to you with GEMS in which you get instantly 90% goes to you the streamer whilst 10% goes to supporting the VIMM platform.

Friendly engaging community

VIMM boasts an incredible community VIMM has streamers that stream daily and the community is always in engagement with each other and the Developers (who are actually A very small Dev team) are very active and engaging in the community.

those are just 2 of the 10+ reasons why VIMM is great

anyways enough talking about how amazing #vimm already is it is time to give my ideas on how it can be even better.

Disclaimer: this post is all for fun It is just me throwing ideas out there

the team likely may already have these ideas who knows.

For those who have never seen Vimm please go check out the site HERE

Community Game nights

VIMM is already way ahead of me on this idea, they already have A Bi-Monthly Poker tournaments hosted over on @luckstacks.com which are free to participate in and you can win some HIVE if you win. Some participants even stream their time playing, in fact, that's how I learnt to play poker by watching fellow Vimm streamers participating and no I wasn't cheating it was on A 5-minute delay.👌

So how can VIMM possibly improve on this?

The simple answer is to host game sessions/nights however it's not as easy as it sounds.

For example, the poker tournaments are great I believe around 10 people attend on average with sometimes 15+ attending despite the good numbers not everyone likes or knows how to play poker so More games are needed.

Unfortunately, there isn't much choice of games that are on hive so we have to look off Hive.

Independently right now I and 2 other VIMM streamers play Fortnite occasionally together although it isn't really A game night or Vimm sponsored or organised in any way it does unite us and all of us stream at the same time together which is very fun.

My Idea and thoughts on how to approach this

It wouldn't be good to just host tons of game nights/sessions the numbers or participants need to be worth the time and effort setting these up.

Saying that 2 Games do come to mind that to me seem "Simpler" to deal with but that's just me.

Monopoly Plus: everyone knows monopoly, Monopoly is an iconic board game but monopoly plus have you heard of that? Monopoly plus is just like monopoly but instead of it being on A board it is on electronic devices (consoles, mobiles, computer) it's your typical monopoly but you can play on devices against players around the world.

Splinterlands

Despite me earlier saying that HIVE doesn't at this moment offer much in terms of community playing together and engaging as they play #splinterlands can possibly do that with their tournament system

better yet this could be community set up so devs don't have to subtract time from their important schedules.

What about prizes? it doesn't bother me I participate in the poker tournaments because I have fun I don't really think of the prizes it's up to Vimm or the community depending on who sets up these events etc.

Let's move on...

encouraging community engagement outside of streaming

again VIMM has done this A few times in the past where they would make posts with topics that consist of "what game are you excited about playing this year?" and "how did you get into streaming? these are simple questions but even little things like this can easily encourage engagement whether it is A hive post or other social media post.

It could spark A never-ending discussion in the comments that may just attract more users to get involved.

Increasing the DEV team and possibly letting the community helping out

A very delicate subject this.

The Vimm dev team is quite small and that is expected and will likely remain that way for some time their hard work easily compensates for that they bring out updates very often and overall the community is happy with how things are going.

It is easy saying yes let the community do something but in reality it requires A high amount of trust and thought.

My idea would be to possibly let the community help out with the social media profiles. It can be stressful trying to regularly post on X amount of social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram etc) so maybe letting the most trustworthy community somewhat help out might not be such A bad idea.

With that I think It is time to conclude

Again this was all just for fun just A fun post from me about throwing out some ideas, the Devs might see maybe they won't but maybe this sparks A ongoing discussion in the community.

Thanks for reading guys.

Vimm splinterlands tournement sound fun.

The vimm devs have tons of idea and plans, they actually do reach out to the community for help for some thing too. For example i currently help with ocd curation for the vimm community and recently members with premium subscription got to test out a dope new feature that i wont spoil ;)

Some solid ideas though! Keep them coming!

awesome thanks for the encouragement ben and oh a feature hmmm chiren better release details soon! hehe

My idea would be to possibly let the community help out with the social media profiles.

Community development + Technology developments are key

I see that that Vimm community is growing and let’s promote Vimm on Twitter together

Would love to help out and see Vimm grow in the future! Been a bit AFK (and not just from streaming) due to work and IRL stuff but figuring out a stream day to be able to get right back into it. Can't wait to come back and give the platform some love.

It's always great to share your ideas, buddy and I agree with your sentiments. ^_^ Here to help if I can.
