Yesterday i had a little conversation with one of my friends, on chat, about smt, including @dlux-io, the vr stuff on steem. I told him, i will join the decentraland contest, of course, for the first place :)
He have mentioned, the dlux want to beat the decentraland, and why i take care about the decentraland at all. And here came our enlightenment.
We have to stop for a minute. Think about it, only one thing:
Do you drink all the time the same brand of beer?
Do you wear all the time same brand of clothes?
Do you listen all the times the same band of musicians?
I think, you dont. I dont. We "consume" more brands from everything, because this is, how the world works. And we are talking about the virtual reality. Endless, limitless space, with more possibilities and opportunities, what you can imagine. So whats the situation with the competition? How could be work a competition, if anyone have limitless resourches and opportunities? Whats the sense of competition?
Yes, at time, the dlux will beat the decentraland in some cases, due the different fundamentals, but this doesnt mean, any of them will "fall".
We, the tiny stupid humans think about the vr, as about the regular reality in the past 100k years, and we cant realize, this is not the same world. We doesnt have any limits, what we have in the real world.
We will use more VR-worlds.
I will use the decentraland, when i want to visit the Genesis city. I will use the Dlux, when i want to build my own planet. I will use the Ceek, if i want to join a live concert, and i will use the Marks.space, when i want to buy something, what i will find there.
I will use all of it, including that, what currently doesnt exist yet. And you also will. Everyone will.
And here comes the second thing.
Do you know, what is the dimension gate? This is a pretty common fantasy, scifi thing, a portal between two different world, or dimension. Fantasy thing, because we dont know the physics behind it, and unfortunately it doesnt exist.
And do you know, in VR, we dont have any "physics" limitation? So you can make a dimension portal, and it will works.
Like the atomic swap, the cross-blockchain technology between different blockchains, for token-swap. Coded connection between two different systems.
Its mean, at time, all the virtual realities will be merged or at least connected with each other.
There are so much talented devs, and they will figured out, how it works, and they will connect the worlds, because in long term, this is the only one final goal for the people. The true limitless reality.
If we have words for it, we can imagine.
If we can imagine, we can make it.
If we can make it, we will.
Keeping the virtual realities "alone", fragmented, this doesnt make any sense.

Totally agree: Competition is good. Ps steempeak.com saves your drafts so you don’t lose your work, I’d recommend that front end

Competition is good with inside a level. Competition for better user experience, for example, this is good. But competition for push the others down, no, there is not good for noone, including the contestants too.
Busy also have saved the drafts, dunno, wth is going on there lately. And last time, when i used the steempeak, it doesnt impressed me, but it was a more moths ago. Maybe i make a second check :)

Nem rossz a mátrix, de az egy allegórikus mese a világunk és az emberek működéséről, szerintem ennyire nem akarták megcsavarni a készítők :)
Amúgy érdekes vagy sem, én tényleg nem látok másra esélyt hosszú távon, előbb-utóbb össze lesz kapcsolva az összes létező vr, sőt, a vr-ben játszható játékok közvetlenül a "fő" térből fognak nyílni. Nem logikus, hogy ne így legyen :)

Ez közkeletű tévedés :D A fejlődéshez egyáltalán nem kell a verseny, a fejlődéshez a biztos "hozam" lehetősége kell, semmi más :) Sőt, bizonyos szempontból a versengés rossz, mert erőforrásokat von el a valóban értelmes fejlesztési céloktól.
Arra van szükség, hogy tudd, ha dolgozol, csinálod, fejlesztesz, akkor biztosan részesülhetsz a munkád gyümölcséből. Ha ez megvan, akkor van fejlődés, ha nincs, akkor nincs, mert nincs motiváció, mert a semmiért senki nem fog tenni semmit.
Nem biztos, ebben vitazni merek. Az egy dolog amit leirtal de a versenes az emberek miatt van. Mert vannak akik nem kepesek a kompromisszumra es versengenek. Vagy ebbol jon az adrenalinjuk vagy ........
Es ez legtobb esetben csak pozitiv dolgokat szult. Az eros eltapossa a gyengebbet. Kivalasztodas ami kell a fejlodeshez szinten.

Teljesen igazad van, de szerintem ezt két különböző módon látjuk :)
A versengéshez egyetlen egy dologra van szükség, versenytársra. Na most ha versengés nélkül is van minden, amit csak akarsz, akkor ki lesz az, aki beszáll egy olyan játékba, ahol adrenalinfüggő, valószínűleg nárcisztikus senkiháziakkal kell "közösködnie", és versenyezni velük? Senki. A végén pedig aki az elnyomásra, eltaposásra játszik, az egyedül marad.
A természetes kiválasztódás tökéletesen működik a természetben, de pl. az üzleti világban nem az erő dönt, hanem az alkalmazkodás, illetve annak sebessége. Sőt, tulajdonképpen a természetben is az dönt hosszú távon, az erő csak rövid távon működik.
A világtörténelem során azért tűnik úgy, hogy a versengés hozta nagy fejlődést (kiváltképp a háborúk), mert azok adták a lehető legnagyobb motivációt a fejlesztésre. De az, hogy ki tud több és nagyobb bombát gyártani, az bizony messze van a fejlődéstől :)
Ez kicsit olyan, mint amikor valaki a mostani emberi civilizációról beszél, hogy milyen fejlettek vagyunk, karcolgatjuk a kvantumfizikát meg a nanotechnológiát, űrhajóink vannak, internet, atomreaktor, meg ilyenek. Aztán közben sosem élt még ennyi szegény, boldogtalan és beteg ember a bolygón.
Akkor milyen fejlődésről beszélünk? :)
