I was wonering how to start the post and in which community. Let me begin with this, I hate the war, I hate to hear for another military actions. I don't know why humans never learn and all our history of mankind is marked by the wars and battles. Obviously it is in our nature and such madness is inevitable.
Couple of weeks ago, during our morning walk I heard the roaring sound and two jets took off from the airport nearby. As we live so close to the airport you can imagine how loud the noise was. I pointed the camera at the sky and took several shots. Bloody fast these jets are. I could manage to capture their silhouettes along with some seagulls.
Early in the afternoon, just exiting the pet shop I saw them again, but got no camera. And there was another third round some hours later. Knowing about the tension between Ukraine and Russia, this was undoubtedly NATO maneuvers, but I wasn't excited. As much as I like to photograph airplanes and helicopters (the advantage of living next to the airport) it is always a bit scary when military planes use civil airport.
Later in the news it was said the Spanish eurofitghters are located in Bulgaria and together with our airforce they will do air policing missions. That weekend they were flying above our country for the first time.
Till this morning I very much hoped that the shadow of tne war will withdraw. Turn on the telly while waking up and preparing for work and headlines for the war that has begun were the first I saw. What a madness. How many people will suffer, like it wasn't enough the pandemic that rocked our world the last couple of years and now this. Some speculations about third world war I heard.
My thoughts are with my Hive friends who are in the midst of this war. I really can't say I know what they feel.

Good question! Probably many people asking it right now @nelinoeva. I was really puzzled by your photos. And then I looked closer. It must've been quite a heart stopping moment taking those photos. Hearing the roar of the planes. Seeing the contrast of nature. And war. Even the seagulls were asking; what is war good for?

I watched them jets, thinking what was going on. We all knew something bad is going to happen, but somehow did not believe a war will start so close to us.
One of the most precious things about Hive is that is has connected me to so many people around the world. While I despise war and always feel sickened and filled with dread, knowing actual friends and artists who live in Ukraine makes it so much more personal and terrifying.
I'm so mad at the part of humanity that should not be in power.

Yes, my dear! this is a real disaster! my husband's parents live in Western Ukraine, also not far from the airport. In the morning they woke up because the troops were shelling the airport - it was on fire. we also have a lot of friends in different parts of Ukraine and we are very worried about them. no, war is not part of the nature of people. We see how many people are against the war, do not accept it and are categorically against it like you and us
What a nightmare and what is worse, I don't know when it will end. How many people will suffer? And for what?

yes, it's really terrible. Israel has been under fire more than once and we know what it's like to wake up at night because of the siren and run to the shelter. and so on for two months. then we have to treat the nervous system. and you are right, the senselessness of so many human deaths is terrifying. God only knows when this will all end 🙈🙏
As is always the case it is all about money which in this case equates to OIL.
As hatred seems to have spread to every corner of the earth, I wonder when it all comes tumbling down.
To live under the constant threat of war has to be harrowing.
When will the madness stop, I'm afraid that it never will.
Is is true, it is all about money. At the same time it seems like human lives have no value, so sad and so terrifying.
Wars are inevitable between countries...that Is first but I wish there are different ways by which any disputes or differences can be sorted out and I wish all things can be settled amicably without leading to war 💯💯💯
