Touring Hoi An in Vietnam.

in #wednesdaywalk4 years ago (edited)

On my last post on touring Vietnam we were in Binh Dinh Province and Marble Mountain in Dang Na after seeing these beautiful parts of Vietnam we decided to move on to Hoi An which was just under a hour's drive away from Dang Na , we had made arrangements with a Van Taxi driver to take us to Hoi An so we all jumped in the van taxi and for about $20 US we were in Hoi An within the hour and all safe. We were booked into a resort called the Vinpearl Resort in Hoi An quite a luxury resort located along Cua Dai Beach.

After all that bike riding in Binh Dinh Province and climbing the marble mountains and walking through caves it was time to relax by the pool , put them feet up soak in the sun enjoy some fruity cocktail drinks with a nice juicy double beef burger with cheese which i was missing so much been away from Australia 😊

After relaxing that day doing nothing but eating and relaxing the next day we all took of to explore the city of Hoi An we found this city very interesting a mix of eras and styles and amazing architecture every where we looked you could say it was Japanese , Chinese and French architecture all within one city.

Hoi An is also known as the Lantern City with all it's traditional colored lanterns but it also reminded me a little of Venice with all the romantic river canals around the city lit up at night with the mix of the colored houses along the lazy river canals made it look so Italian.

What we enjoyed the most in Hoi An was the selections of fresh foods everyday and the varieties available. Hoi An is known for its diverse and excellent foods not only Vietnamese foods which were also superb but for it's many nationalities of foods including Japanese, Chinese and Portuguese and these canal river boat taxis knew exactly were to take you for whatever meal you desired at the time.

The graceful historic town of Hoi An was a very delightful town to see offering you a bit of ancient culture from the Chinese temples to the Japanese covered bridge and the river canals that made you feel like you were in Venice we were all glad we took the time to stop here but now it was time to move on to Hanoi city so stayed tune for our last leg of our Touring of Vietnam.

Very beautiful...😍

Thank you @agoesmhr for taking your time to look at my post 😊

Vietnam has certainly come a long way and it's tourist growth is amazing more people are loving to visit Vietnam well not at the moment with this virus but it will be a top destination real soon again once the boarders open.

We very much enjoyed our time there last year and the people are great and polite it is a beautiful country to visit 😊

This really looks amazing, love the old Japanese bridge, and the rice in bamboo!!

Thank you @rynow i did find Vietnam very interesting with all it's mixed cultures and the foods were just super rice in the bamboo was a great idea keeping the flavor and warmth not allowing it to dry out 😊

Out of all the Asian countries Vietnam is the one place I would really love to visit. Your photos are gorgeous.

For some reason lately Vietnam has become attractive to many foreigners the foods , the people , the landscapes it's all beautiful and you would love it 😊

Vietnam is such a cool place, affordable and modern. The food is next level.

It sure was a place i like to go back and see more off before it gets to commercialized.

Despite all the talk, Vietnam is one of the most underappreciated countries in the world! It is an amazing place and the changes in it in the last ten years are amazing.

It is inexpensive, in comparison to many European countries, but, as time marches on, the prices get higher and higher. The time to visit is while it is not overcrowded!

Your pictures are purely a joy to look through. You have such a keen sense of what will work well photographically, which is not as easy to do as you make it seem. The resort is lovely and what a way to spend your time. I love the different modes of transportation and enjoy each and every one. How can you not love a place like this? How long ago was it that you went?

You truly hit the nail on the head when you said there is a wide variance of cultures all in the same city. Truth! That is surely its secret weapon! :)

I appreciate the love and support you are giving to #MarketFriday! All in all, it looks like it was a successful, and fun adventure! There was so much packed into that one trip. You certainly used your time and energy wisely. Did you get a chance to go into the villages when you were in Ho Chi Min? The cultural difference is jaw-dropping. Away from the city, many people still live much like they did 100 years ago. I loved this post and I want to thank you for the time you spend putting it all together! It is people like yourself that make this challenge successful! In case anyone is reading this and is curious about it, this will clear that up!

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge!

How to Participate:

Go to the market! Any market will do! Food, clothing, plant, or animal, if you wish. You can go to the zoo, an art auction, and restaurants. Anywhere or anything that you pay money for any kind of service.
Take pictures! Be creative! It’s fun!
Tell us a little bit about the market, what brought you here?

You are right a very underappreciated country but people are really starting to take more notice of this country now as it has developed so much in the past 10 years and it's even attracted a lot of foreign investors it's Vietnam's moment to shine now.

With what you also said having the wide variance of cultures all in the same city i found that with every province i visited and this did make a huge difference when you can have that choice.

Thank you @dswigle for your kind and encouraging words and it is my plan to see more of this beautiful country in the near future 😊
