@steemed has been dropped from the top 19 witnesses

in #whales8 years ago (edited)

There has been some movement of the top 19 witnesses.

With the news of corruption those who want steem to succeed will act for the good of steemit.

Witch hunts are bad because witches don't exist. Bears however do.

When prices are falling pessimism around the falling price can cause the price to fall further. After some time when the price is falling investors can look for a good time to enter. But not in a bear market. Because in a bear market the bears provide no suitable point of entry. As long as they are behaving like bears - hoarding the rewards for themselves - the price will just keep falling.

@steemed and @kushed are part of a team not a partnership. There are other witnesses and whales involved in the corruption. I urge you to get to know the witnesses you are voting for.

Steemit is only a scam if the whales make it a scam

We want not just @steemed/ @itsascam to know that we are watching him.

Those whales and witnesses who continue to vote for the corrupt after exposing them

We have our eyes on you too.

Sort:

Looks like we are moving to PoS (Proof of Scam) algorithm with those witch-hunts

Have you considered being a witness?

You black-highlighted a lot of activity. Some was not relevant to anything except changing server configurations (update witness). Others were most likely related to my perceived involvement in the whatever conspiracy you are cooking up here (val-a votes).

My personal unvotes of his list were because of a philosophical problem I have with the team's voting with ninjamined vests (which Val did with his votes) and had nothing to do with my implicit or explicit support of any witnesses. And my unvote by blocktrades was related to his philosophical difference that the team should vote how they wish with ninjamined coins and that he felt as strongly about his position as I do about mine.

My last action was to upvote bhuz because I felt like if I was out of the full time list, I'd put in bhuz because I think he is a more involved witness than the person I replaced with that vote (au1nethyb1). But it could just be the communication channels that I watch.

Believe it or not, now that I am out of the full time witness list, I have much more control over it and will tune it as I see fit. To some extent, expect my votes to have some long term policy implications. I am not a little fish.

@steemed this is not a witch hunt. This is a campaign to save steemit. We do not wish to hunt you. We wish to expose your behaviour in order to hold you accountable and encourage the community to not be afraid of you. You intimidate anybody who uses their voting power or their voice against you. You are hushing the community and sending them on their way and when they are gone the game will be over.

Even if they have much less voting power than you, you seem to have been trying to draw attention away from what could be your meat puppet accounts by discouraging anybody from flagging or commenting with anything that makes your authors look bad. Yet you also flag bad content and plagiarism yourself when it suits you.

You would prefer to play this game all by yourself with your buddies. Those who make your steem valuable are a nuasance to you. But the problem for you and you know this is your game is worthless without a large number of "little fish" who value steem despite having so little. Many of these authors are much better than the dodgy meat puppets you play pile on with. And these authors are not going to hang around watching you repeatedly ask for "better competition". And as long as the "quality" content you approve of with your vote makes steemit look like a scam the price of your steem will continue to fall.

It is my personal belief that you don't care about the money you will lose. @itsascam and it's always been a scam. As long as you can get what you get from powering down, you do not care for what happens to steem.

Prove me wrong. Not with your words but by ending the anti-social behaviour.

now that I am out of the full time witness list, I have much more control over it and will tune it as I see fit.

This is a declaration of gaming the system.

Steem is not a political institution. It is an economic entity.

You sure do use a lot of political tactics to game your economic entity.

Wow someone read my comment ?!?

Without Steemed/Itsascam many today popular authors would be unrecognized without his help (ericvancewalton,stellabele...

Yes. If I do 7 good deeds, then I am entitled to 10 bad ones. I understand now.

The problem with your premise is that I have done anything "bad". In fact, you and other trolls like ats-david and bacchist have defined "bad" and built that definition with this campaign. Moreover, other than voting patterns, which is purely circumstantial, there is no evidence that I have done anything "bad" as you define it.

This is truly a witch hunt, and I have made myself a target of it, of course, by being an opponent of it.

Funny that you use a sock puppet account to post about sock puppets. Whoever you are behind this account, why don't you use your own real account to make the post ? It's a coward act.

This is a good point @aizensou, but we have an interesting dilemma on our hands.

Blockchain tech and cryptocurrencies are meant to allow anonymity in a system, and prevent censorship. By telling someone to post with their real account, we are socially trying to deny them this right. Should a whistle-blower post with their real identity, if they knew the mob would kill them? Drastic obviously, but you get my point.

On the other hand, steemit users are tied to reputation. By allowing a user to post under an anonymous account so easily, we effectively break this tie -- a user can maintain reputation while trolling at the same time.

I don't have an answer or opinion yet, just providing discussion. :)

People could have a different view of point, nothing wrong with that. Important is the courage to discuss it openly and in a gentlemen manner. That's why I totally respect what you did and how you openly ask questions about internal working of steemit. The whole thing I saw recently looks like a carefully designed witch-hunt act specially targets a few witnesses. It will bring harm to the platform nevertheless. See my answer below to @smooth as well. Thanks.

There's nothing wrong with posting anonymously. Evaluate the content and not the person, unless the person is making claims to you that their reputation is relevant. This has been my view all along (including when disagreeing with sockpuppet hunters), and I would apply it here as well.

Exactly I saw nothing wrong with anonymity, I wish to stay anon myself too. But it's clearly a troll action to create a sock puppet account with the main motive to attack someone.

Not if powerful voices have been known to downvote information because it didn't suit them, or they thought it was over-valued, or they can just call it trolling, when those same powerful voices rule who wins and loses. I see your point, but I think a strong platform can withstand a few questions, and a few posts by being open and calm instead of flagging, threatening and calling people names. We are supposed to be an intelligent community after all.

The level of defensiveness is thick on this platform.

A coward is someone who lacks courage in facing danger, difficulty, opposition, pain, etc. A coward is a timid or easily intimidated person. You are seeking cowardice through intimidation and abuse of power. You have not intimidated me into revealing my identity. You reveal yourself though every time you self reflect yourself onto your accuser by turning their accusations around on them. And we have been collecting data on any accounts held by the corrupt or just somebody who supports your corruption.

Have fun trying to find me. (I'm right here)

Sorry I don't waste my time for a troll. Thanks.

You've been spending plenty of time on this thread I see.

We see who you support.

Satoshi would have said, told you so! That's why he went for Proof-of-work.

Justice will be done!
