Is there an option, after HF24, to trim down the hardware and lower the cost? I still don't know what is the minimum / optimal HW configuration to run a witness node :)

In theory, you could implement MIRA and go with smaller SSD, I didn't try this, so still a solid 250GB of SSD needed, plus a decent CPU and RAM configuration. Multiplied by 2, ideally, for the failover.
