@coffeea.token is currently running on Steem, I'm trying to decide whether to move the token distribution to Hive - while it is well used I don't want to add strain to the blockchain so I'm looking for user input to see if the want to see !COFFEEA on hive or not.
I have been trying to write this post since Monday, it's now Thursday night and this is a good indication of how hard Coronavirus has hit my own personal life. I chose to tell my staff to stay home when the UK entered Lockdown on March 23rd, and since then sales for domestic orders of coffee have soared - causing a Bizarre situation where I am paying staff to stay at home while roasting and packing like a crazy man to try and keep up with orders - currently I've got the backlog down to around 150 orders and today finally I had less orders come in then I sent out! It's a strange situation should I have just kept the staff working as normal and risk their health? Customers are being accommodating about waiting extended times for orders to arrive - but to be honest I'm not so worried about Coronavirus killing me - stress and pulling 12 hour solid days trying to do four people's work maybe......
There is no doubt the impact of COVID-19 Coronavirus is changing the way the entire world lives and interacts, while people struggle to cope with the concept of Isolation and remaining distant - as a Blockchain community we have been socialising from across the world while entirely distant for years. Now more then ever the importance of a social blockchain community is present, we bring human interaction to people all over the world, sharing posts, comments, bringing people together and giving them something more then four walls - a virtual life combined with the most important feeling of belonging. Isolation can be killer on it's own, in the UK especially our elderly who get cut off, literally have died of loneliness. And nobody needs to be lonely, because if we spread the word #HIVE can be the blockchain to bring people together - in this an unprecedented time.
And that brings me to names for the our active #hive community, I thought that #buzzers would be quite apt - because it relates to #hive and it also is representative of what we want to do about this blockchain - create a #buzz and make it active.
I've been listening to Fatboy Slim's lockdown mixtape while writing this, he's starting to look a lot like @slobberchops. In fact I don't remember ever seeing Fatboy Slim and @slobberchops in the same room 🤔
People need interaction, however it happens we are all Human and need to socialise. As a Blockchain #hive can bring people from around the world together, and make these dark times brighter. Take the time to remember those friends you have made, look out for each other, that kind word or comment might do far more then you would ever think.

Take it easy man. Although I know the feeling. We in lockdown in South Africa as well, for about a week now. Lockdown with a 1 year old and a full load of work. Not easy to be prioritising posts or keeping active. Especially when the little boss thinks your phone is hers. Definitely appreciate the delegation and trying to make an effort to post more (starting with Actifit again). Let's see how ong this lockdown lasts....
I think eventually everyone will migrate. Now, the big question is when is the best time to do it.
Because without users, community is non existing. And the answer to that, is basically continuously asking everyone to engage on #HIVE and ditch responses as much as possible on STEEM. I am doing all I can in that sense.
Although the bigger question is... how do you alert people on STEEM, to now understand... hey, we are all on HIVE?
In my view, through other social networks besides STEEM. =) we are already on other social media anyway, most of us, if not all. So, its basically informing and changing all the websites everywhere to HIVE, and then everyone will go where the #buzz is.
Unfortunately this also means I have stopped using certain projects I liked on STEEM. One of them is @steemhunt ... of which I hope to migrate to HIVE. I really like the project, and it would be a shame to lose that one.
So true about #hive bringing people together which is especially important during these days of isolation. Thanks for reminding us :)
It would be great if we had our !COFFEEA on HIVE in the future :)
