Life is wonderful.
Seeing human beings do the same old thing over and over, hoping for a different ending.
So it was on Steem once upon a time, not all that long ago, where steemit.com was the alpha and omega of all things Steem.
Many yelled "Steemit is not Steem", yet at the end of the day, it was.
So here we go again, with many people who still have some very bitter memories of the past and those people who were somewhat part of those bitter memories, trying to change the future, through our thoughts and actions today.
Unlike Steem, we wish to see FREEDOM as far as our cryptocurrencies are concerned. After all, "steemit.com nor Steemit is not Steem".
We wish to take our cryptocurrencies to the moon, which means that they must become used by the mainstream.
So let's take a look at the reality of that mainstream, I replied to a comment by @enginewitty, not for him to read, but for everyone else who comes across it to notice it and more importantly THINK ABOUT IT.
For our crpytocurrencies to go "mainstream" then one has to face the facts and the facts are:
So we either take HIVE and HBD to the mainstream or we keep waiting for the mainstream to come to Hive.
Which will it be!

Now, idk how many people will read this, idk how many people who do read this will get the message that I am trying to relay here.
But the simplest way to put it is:
If we want change, then we have to make that change happen.
It won't miraculously happen all on its own.
Nobody can expect things to change if they are done the exact same way they were done in the past.
However, we are seeing some changes, to the tech and the approach to the tech as far as the chain goes.
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME.
If it was all up to the tech and nothing else, we would be doing pretty good, taking everything into consideration. As many of the other chains out there are still just doing the plain old copy paste of the same old things. The rinse and repeat method of making the rich richer and the poor poorer.
I hope that the above is something that people who read this do not reply to in the next day or two. As it isn't something that requires commenting on for the sake of commenting.
What it needs is thought and a change in views on the reality of our reality.
Enough of that now. Don't want to see any processors burning and letting off that putrid smell of "burning electronics" aka "Magic smoke".
The team at @fullalt have been investing a lot of time, work and cash into making it possible to actually start tokenizing the internet with HIVE.
The name of the project is: HiveTips.
We have a fully working product out on the market.
& we have put a proposal in, which we approached as we would expect any project team to present an idea or as in this case a tangible product/service to the potential investors. In this case we the people who have HIVE staked (Hive Power) are the investors.
We are the people who can help decide on where all we want to see HIVE & HBD available and used on the internet. The funds that are on offer in the DHF are not out of the "Rewards Pool". These funds are set aside for us the stake holders to choose what to invest in, so as to get the most out of them for the best interests of Hive.
So it is up to each and every one of us to make the decision.
Unlike on Steem, we can't point the finger at some clown called "Ned" for the mistakes made. We now hold/have the sole responsibility to call the shots.
Some may still think that their voice, their vote doesn't make much difference. Yes it does. It always will. Every single person is important. I can't stress that enough.
So, yeah, we have been busy little bees, that is what it amounts to as far as "the update" side of things are concerned.

Our cryptocurrencies are dependent on DEMAND as far as their market value goes.
For that to happen, they need to be set free from the shackles of the "steemit.com" mentality.
The chart clearly shows the crystal clear reality of WHERE the DEMAND can be built.
It also shows how if those markets are tapped into, the entire ecosystem can benefit from it. Not only in a monetary value, but also in the dream of achieving a greater decentralization.
Reality needs to be faced and worked with in order to change things, there is no magic wand. It has to be approached in a step by step process. The chart says it all.
I think we should realize we can't go mainstream straight away.
We first need to target early adopters. People that already understand the Hive basics or are willing to learn the basics.
Once we are the early adopters favorite there will come a tipping point when we hit mainstream.

Do we simply talk the talk or do we walk the walk?
I am not talking about the "blogging" side of things, but the currency markets and building DEMAND on the OPEN MARKET that we are already a part of.
Separate the two topics, as they are not the one and the same.
We can separate the two topics or realize that the one thing that makes Hive unique is actually that these two are connected and use that to our advantage.
What makes Hive tips better than Brave tips if we only look at it from a investors perspective?
Also, is there a the fintech equivalent of the #Joinhive campaign?
