Hi all,
finally, I also upgraded my witness to the new version 1.25.00. It took me quite a long time but mainly because I should have been paying more attention when running the clean command.. And maybe deleting the Chain and all the data that came along with it was not a that good idea after all because I had to start in the beginning again and sync it up (which took ages ..)
The learning out of this for me is to either be more awake when cleaning things or to just read and understand before pressing the y key on my keyboard.
But hey, here is the witness again ready to verify and sign. And since I started the process early I am still within the time for the Hardfork, nevertheless, this process and my shortcomings in it are responsible for a few grey hairs extra :)
Thanks to all the developers and the team pushing the chain forwards, I really hope the HF is running nice and smooth and the changes are what we all expect them to be! Especially the extended voting window is really something that makes curating much more worthwhile and also financially more interesting.

Hallo zusammen,
endlich, nach Tagen des reload, replay und resync hab ich es dann auch geschafft und meinen Witness Server auf die neue Version 1.25.00 geupdated. Nein, generell muss das nicht so lange dauern, aber, wenn man zuviel Daten löscht und im falschen Moment auf y drückt dann fehlen manchmal ein paar wichtige Daten (oder auch eine ganze Blockchain) und man fängt von ziemlich weit vorne wieder an.
Die Lehren die ich daraus gezogen habe sind entweder, mach nix wirklich wichtiges wenn du müde bist oder lese und VERSTEHE erst einmal was da steht bevor du einfach auf Y drückst
Naja, so ists halt manchmal, also hab ich die letzten Tage damit zugebracht die Daten wieder zu laden und zu syncen, ein Prozess der irgendwie eine halbe Ewigkeit gedauert hat. Da ich relativ frühzeitig damit angefangen habe bin ich immer noch gut in der Zeit und hab somit nix verpasst :)
Danke an all die Developer und das Team das die Chain konstant verbessert, ich hoffe das der HF ruhig und sauber abläuft und wir fix in den Genuss der neuen Funktionalitäten kommen können. Vorallem das erweiterte Voting Fenster dürfte allen Kuratoren da draussen sehr gut gefallen, denn jetzt hat man genug Zeit wirklich auch zu Lesen und zu Bewerten und ist nicht in einem von vorneherein verlorenen Rennen mit den Sniping Bots.

Du hast es ja geschafft und bist gut vorbereitet für den Hardfork. Bin gespannt wann die anderen auf 1.25 nachziehen.
