It's Been a Month -- Witness Chat in the Steemit Ramble on Sat. June 16th

in #witness6 years ago
It’s been a month since the May Witness Chat in the Steemit Ramble. Saturday is the next Witness Chat where ALL witnesses regardless of their rank are invited to attend and interact with the community in a discussion about the health of the platform.

For the community members, it’s an opportunity to learn what witnesses do, who they are and why they need to be paying attention to who they vote for. For the witnesses it’s an opportunity to get to know the community, be heard by the community and let the community know what they have been up to.

Most importantly, it’s an opportunity to communicate. Since these chats have started there seems to be a greater level of interest in the community about the witnesses and the need for learning about them and voting.

It’s our platform, witnesses and the other members of the community. Witnesses are members of the community. Without open communication we end up in silos and a lot of misunderstanding.

I love the above graphic: It's about community. I agree! Sadly, many join this community thinking it's about making money... and get pissed off when they don't "strike it rich" by posting crap, and asking for upvotes. Many don't understand what witnesses do, or their importance, it's a good thing when people like yourself, try to spread the word, and get people the info they need.

thank you @skiponline and yes, I very much agree. Community first, any money to be earned will follow later. Sort of along the lines of the Zig Ziglar about helping people get what they want and you'll get what you want. Being part of community is helping others get what they want and in turn being known. If you're being real in what you're doing, others will respond.

Team Good Alpaca loves this post! Nomnomnom!

I'll be there, the last one was great, thanks for your efforts with this, much appreciated.

I'll be interested to hear the witness' thoughts on the reasons for the decline of steemit since the last chat!
