Time is something I have a lot of lately. The days have been past managing short term investments while the quarantine takes its effect on the businesses in our area.
Hive is a new blog I have discovered during this extended holiday, it's a happening place. My past experience blogging has lead me to the creation of this chain post to keep the discussion alive about the Witness Consensus Model, so Hive will never experience what I just studied about the Steem history on this blog, it's very interesting how soon after Hive launched I was directed here, the advertising worked whoever promoted for @esteem got my attention.
Witness Voting
Today it dawned upon me that I can vote for witnesses, this is a interesting feature of this blog that I have never seen before. So now I am wondering what I should do to base my vote on some solid prerequisites.
What kind of ethics do you expect from a witness?
Who is your favorite witness?
@gtg is #1 I have noticed, @good-karma is #2 and I used Esteem to signup, which is made by good-karma.
Is there any benefit financially to supporting the witnesses or will there be not effect on the rewards pool based in how I distribute the votes?

This witness community is almost like a book club for bloggers, itnwould be nice to share some thought over coffee with the community on this topic.

Currently I have not issued any votes and am waiting for more community feed back to start handing out my consent to author blocks to the Hive blockchain.
I support the witnesses who I see doing good work. I have met a few of them including @gtg and @good-karma. Some of them do not post much, but with those who do you can see what they are up to. There is a witness feed on PeakD. There is not generally a financial benefit to voting on particular witnesses, but some may decide to send you a vote. It is more about having a say in the future of the platform. The witnesses decide on hard forks. You also get to determine which of them earn the most, but as a new user you do not have much influence yet.
You may notice that images are not showing up. There is some issue with the servers, but I hope it will be resolved soon. Unfortunately that aspect is somewhat centralised.
