haejin currently owns steem, Steemit

....all the witnesses, whales and you, the good Steemians.

As Haejin feeds upon steem he grows stronger whilst almost everyone else grows weaker.

Make no mistake the parasitism is escalating and there is currently NO meaningful attempt to counter it. An astonishing amount of damage has already been done.

Unchecked, haejin's ilk will gorge themselves and multiply until all that is left is a dead, once-beautiful, once-golden husk.

Does it feel good? Are you happy? If not, I suggest you do something about it and start insisting that those with influence work together to put a stop to it. Parasitical, exploitative garbage should be flagged into reward oblivion no matter how many views from lambo-chasers it gets.

Remember you have witness votes. You can elect witnesses who will help to counter abuse.

Isn't it about time to de-infest?

Infested Steeming

I think change is possible.

I thnk the system is flawed and he is taking advantage of the system. Steemit inc management should resolve the issue -maybe 1 post max a day might help.

I think the .02 earnings threshold is flawed and should be lowered to .01 but I don't think steemit is anywhere near as flawed as a lot of people seem to think.

Steemit cannot fix the issue sadly. In fact they only contribute to the problem which is the centralisation of steem power resulting primarily from the initial distribution. With thousands of whales, flagging may have been used to moderate abuse more effectively.

Good point, however most of those whales and witnesses are part of the problem hence they cant attack flag people for doing what they do or support daily.

This is really bound to happen when there aren’t measures in place to avoid such a hugely uneven distribution of wealth. This is the same system as the world economy but on hyper speed. I love the community here but something needs to change wihth the algorithms and structure of the platform in order to make it more equal and sustainable. I’m thankful this is occurring now, as it may be early enough for proper changes to be made.

There are measures, they simply aren't being deployed with any will and co-ordination. Steemians with steem power need to step up and start flagging.

whawhat measures are there to keep big whales from growing exponentially and the distribution of wealth to somehownstay well distributed? Just flagging?

If this keeps up, steem will be history because everyone will leave and go to other platforms that are not as abusive. Whales can limit themselves or be moderated by other whales or a collective.

I just looked at your profile:
https://steemd.com/@benjojo

It seem that you do not support anyone here. Never upvote anyone. Never comment. You stop posting. And just downvoting random people (I was one of them). It's not people like H. that are making this place leave but people like you. Unfortunatelly you're not doing anything to help community, but you're only damaging it.

What for?

You understand nothing about what I am doing or why and I'm afraid I don't have the time to explain myself to you. I will say this, get your facts straight. What you have said is demonstrably false.

Hi @benjojo

Thank you for your kind reply.

I may not understand nothing about what you're doing but I really tried. I wont lie: I'm very new on this platform. I joined just 1 month ago but Im doing my best to create quality content, I engage with people, comment their posts. Im trying to help this community grow.

And all of sudden for no reason Im receiving downvote from you.

Without any explanation, without any warning. I've spent quite some time trying to understand why did you downvote my work (which obviously reflect in losing some of my rewards) and I failed.

Im glad you replied and I will be happy if you could help me get my fact straight. As I am not looking for a fight. My life (as many others) has been long and difficult enough and Im reaching out to you because I want to avoid similar situations in the future. I want to avoid becoming accidently part of some flag war that may be happening out there.

Hope to hear from you and thank you for your time.

Yours, Piotr

@benjojo, where can I reach out to you? Are you on discord (couldn't find you)? Thanks for getting back though :-)

At the same time we don't need to wait around until that is optimised. Surely there is a possibility for a community-driven solution? Something along the lines of a conglomerate of Steemers who peer review and help promote content in strategical ways?

Of course there is. Organisation and co-operation. Witnesses need to be elected who will use their influence to moderate abuse. The community need to appeal to good whales, if there are any left, and entreat them to act. Or they need to band together under a single remit to counter abuse.

I’m certainly trying in whatever way I can and supporting others who do the same. I honestly think things have gotten better but there are lots of things I don’t know.

what measures are you talking about?

at least he is in a way contributing to steemit. I realized that all you currently do is downvote everyone like crazy. Noone, absolutely noone benefits. I just wrote article that took me 3 hours. It's a good post, commented by many friends and you downvoted it for no reason. It seem to be just a random downvote like many others coming from you.

I would appreciate it you would stop creating more conflicts. It doesnt server anyone.

Regards,
Piotr

Lolzzzz
The cat wasn't joking

LoL😂 The cat is stronger than the dog😂.

Hi Benjojo.

Thanks for this article, the fact you disabled payment shows your conviction on this one.

I agree with your sentiment. I wonder what sort of result a retrospective analysis on haejin's predictions would yield. Especially during times of bearish sentiment. After all, anyone can predict an upwards trend when everything tends to go up.

The problem remains that people don't care. They want their small piece of the Haejin pie, and hence race to be first to comment or like. It's a vicious cycle of self-promotion and greed, which is far from the original SteemIt spirit.

I have had some conversations with @cryptoclick about this as well already. I believe something needs to be done.

Cheers
Flo

Haejin pedals junk to fools. His "technical analysis" is junk....he's already demonstrated that himself. There is no reason for it to be any good. Why bother? Where's the incentive? He wins whatever. People should care and if they don't steem is finished. Parasites, by their very nature and definition destroy the host.

Maybe everyone especially whales must have a flagger account which they could use for flagging reward pool rapists Sir @benjojo..

I have read several posts that in conclusion touch the same topic related to this monopolistic user Haejin. We all agreed to take action, in particular I urge that we call a kind of para and that we all give a touch of flag to their posts for a day or two, I guess that would be enough to get the attention of the moderators and the individual in I comment. He will seek to buy steempolice and steemspan so that in his name he attacks anyone who reveals himself to him. It would be like the beginning of the first world war steem; you will imagine the consequences.

Still no stopping?

What can I say?
