Photo was taken on the 2017/2018 New Year's Party in Rotterdam where we had a great opportunity to listen her selecting and mixing skills life for the first time and immediately fall in love. Her style is an unbelievable energetic fusion of techno, acid, industrial and wide range of indescribable electroniqe, much more different than a typical melancholy or dark vibe. Beside of Nina Kraviz, we could listen to the other techno-gigants like Speedy J, Karenn and Function, but after all, we can honestly say that they were there for the whole night just as her support. We can compare her show to the acid trip to the another techno-dimension and back again to the foxhole. Just check my two short videos which I uploaded especially for you:

FOXES ON THE FIRST TIME EVER WITH NINA
I found her in 2012, while I was living in Germany. In my personal opinion (which was wrong), she just jumped out of nowhere with a very intensive and hypnotic tech-house tune called Nina Kraviz - Ghetto Kraviz (Amine Edge Mix) released by REK'D label. Ultimate ass-shaker. In the same year she had a premiere of her first full album called "Nina Kraviz" pressed by REKIDS. In my opinion(also not entirely correct) it was the hottest debut in the electronic music since electronic music was invented, her carrier was spinning faster than the fastest Vestax or Pioneer, even some foxes had problems with keeping up her tempo.
BEGINNINGS
Nina Kraviz (Нина Кравиц) was born and raised in Irkutsk, Russia. Since her childhood, she was always involved into the music. Surrounded by the Siberian landscapes she was collecting records, regularly listening to the acid radio shows and was interesting into the Acid Techno, Detroit Techno and Chicago House. Unfortunately for the humans, childhood cannot lasts forever and that was the reason why she leaved her beloved Irkutsk for the studies in Moscow. She studied medicine and later she worked for 3 years as a dentist. Asked about her way from a dentist to a DJ she answered that her life is "full of uncombineable things, full of strange coincidences"... nothing more nothing less.
As I wrote before, in my opinion she had the best debut ever in 2012, but it wasn't completely true. According to the discogs her firsts records are coming from 2009 and actually till 2012 she released at least 9 vinyls ! After coming out of her long play titled Nina Kraviz, she couldn't handle holding two titles anymore - Dentist and Queen of Techno. That's why she decided that smashing brains is more interesting than smashing teeth. I think it was a quite reasonable and every fox would do the same (BTW you can still find her "famous Russian dentist" title @ BIO on Facebook). Year 2013 was also very intensive, in the Video Interview For Resident Advisor she said that playing across the globe isn't just a piece of cake, but still her dreamed life and she will not stop and actually will continue even harder. Theese words were true : between 2012 and 2013 she released 9x 12" and 1x full LP and in 2014 she founded her own label called:
трип (Trip)
During her shows she always plays a lot of unknown, rare and unreleased stuff. Stuff extremely desired by the other djs, promoters and party animals. Sometimes even half of the set can be a one big mystery. Establishing Label Trip was an answer for neverending requests from the techno community. Finally she could promote those musicians in a proper way. Thanks to her label a lot of Russian artists such as Roma Zuckerman, Philipp Gorbachev, Nikita Zabelin could be shown for a wider audience. But трип is not strictly Russian-only label. We can find there a lot of quality stuff from the UK or Islandic killers like Bjarki, Biogen or Exos. Even legendary Richard David James aka Richard D. James aka Aphex Twin aka AFX aka Caustic Window aka "at least 10 more aliases" released his old acid techno roller called p-string ! Nobody was unknown but for most of them, Trip Label was like a trampoline. Promoting by playing or releasing old tunes, motivating for the new ones and playing together all around the globe is just clearly fantastic. In my opinion it shows how good and inspiring person is she.
NOWAYDAYS
Few weeks ago Nina Kraviz played at the Chineese Great Wall, but time is ruthless. Booking agencies also. Till the end of the September 2018 she will play in USA, France, Northern Ireland, Germany, Romania, UK, Spain, Poland, Czech Republic, Italy, Netherlands, Serbia, Russia, Portugal, Malta, Croatia and Greece so you will have plenty of possibilities to check her skills.
