At that time, the Serbs established their statehood and under Dušan the Mighty had a powerful Empire south of the Sava and Danube rivers, which stretched east to the Adriatic and south to the Mediterranean. Numerous Serbian Christian shrines testify to that, but also the architecture of cities in the entire part of the Balkan Peninsula, or on Helm – as the peninsula was called before the Turkish invasion.
Our host, Nebojša, took us to the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, showing along the way monuments and contrasts of architecture from different historical periods…

У то доба Срби су успоставили државност и под Душаном Силним имали моћно царство јужно од реке Саве и Дунава, које се на исток простирало до Јадрана и на југ до Медитерана. О томе сведоче многобројне српске хришћанске светиње, али и архитектура градова на читавом том делу Балканског полуострва, или на Хелму – како се пре Турске инвазије полуострво називало.

The Church of the Holy Trinity was built in the form of a three-nave basilica surrounded on the west, south and north sides by porches, but seen from the side, if there were no crosses and bell tower, it would look like a richer house of that age. Here you can find a view of the church from a better angle than I could have provided in the given time gap.
Црква Свете Тројице грађена је у облику тробродне базилике опкољене са западне, јужне и северне стране тремовима, али са стране гледано, да нема крстова и звоника деловала би као нека богатија кућа. Овде можете наћи поглед на цркву из бољег угла него што сам ја могао да обезбедим у временском теснацу.

The central place in the church is occupied by an impressive iconostasis, mostly the work of the famous zograf (painter) Dicha, named Dimitar Krstevič, who at that time was the most famous and most talented icon painter in the entire Vardar valley.
Централно место у цркви заузима импресивни иконостас, највећим делом рад чувеног зографа Диче, по имену Димитар Крстевич, који је у то доба био најпознатији и најдаровитији иконописац у читавој долини Вардара.
