Could Skinwalker Ranch's strange activity be related to Fracking?

in #writing4 years ago (edited)

There is a spot in Utah that has had alot of attention for those interested in UFOs and other paranormal activity. The area of Fort Duchesne is where Skinwalker Ranch is located. Its considered the hottest spot for such activity. There were Native American tribes battling in the area a long time ago, and one tribe put a curse on the other. Causing the land to be affected by a creature called "The Skinwalker". Since then people have reported on strangeness all over the region. As they say where the Skinwalker walks strangeness will occur. In the 1990s it seems the activity really amped up, and the Skinwalker Ranch property was sold by the traumatized famer living there and sold it to Robert Bigelow, the owner of Bigelow Aerospace.

Recently the History channel did a documentary on the location and studied the place. I watched this documentary and I noticed while the caretakers of the property were listening to the scientists on how to test the area, they got uneasy when any digging was mentioned. It was brought up multiple times and the locals were quite against any digging.

In episode 1 its even titled "Bad Things Happen When You Dig"

https://www.history.com/shows/the-secret-of-skinwalker-ranch/season-1/episode-1

The caretakers go on to talk about how when any digging has been done on the property it tends to amp up the strangeness that occurs. And in the deed of this property there is a clause mentioning no digging can be done on this property. A strange thing to list in the deed of the property, it was left there by many owners ago and as the property sold to new owners the clause remained.

I brought up Skinwalker Ranch's location on Google Maps and saw that the property was almost surrounded by natural gas wells. Also known as fracking sites. These sites will pump liquid into drilled holes to extract natural gas that forms deep underground. In Utah fracking began in the 1960s and has continued since then.

Strangeness does not only occur on the property of Skinwalker Ranch, but all around the Uinta Basin. Many residents have their own stories to tell of sightings. This entire basin is dotted with natural gas wells and makes me wonder if the strangeness found in the area is being affected by the digging/drilling all of these fracking sites do.

As mentioned earlier the caretakers mention digging is only done as a last resort, and in the deed of the land of Skinwalker Ranch it says permission is needed before doing any excavation or digging on the land.

I wonder if fracking rig operators in the area have some amazing stories to tell about unexplained phenomena. I know right now the industry is really suffering, and maybe if some of these rig operators leave the business they may have some stories to tell once there is no risk of being fired or not being able to get a job in the industry again due to talking about it. Pilots are in a similar situation, as they see many explained lights and even craft in the sky but if talked about can adversely affect their job opportunities.

Something else that comes to mind when thinking about fracking attracting UFO and strange unexplained attention is how nuclear facilities has had many sightings of UFOs near by. And even interaction with interference with the launch control systems.

It would seem as if there is advanced life out there, its been focusing on our most deadly weapons and material known to man. And it would be thought as them telling us to stop using that stuff as it could completely ruin the planet. The same could be said about fracking, in how it may be causing damage to the Earth that may never be fixed again. It would seem the UFO sightings started around the time atomic testing was being done, and maybe there a relation to how fracking has the same effect.

I would like to travel to the Uinta Basin and find out for myself or at least experience something that has been described by many that live there. Maybe if I camp at some of the local state parks I can come back with a sighting or something substantial. Probably want to do that during the spring or early summer as the winters seem quite brutal in the area. But for the moment I will need to wait, as that is just too far for me to travel at this time. But it is on my list of spots to check out, along with the San Louis Valley in Colorado. Another hotspot for UFO activity, a place that @carrieallen lives and has told many interesting stories about from the region.

Until then ill enjoy watching documentaries made on it and do my best to track updates as they happen online.

I watched all of season one of "The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch" and really enjoyed getting a look inside of the ranch. Looking forward to season 2. Brandon Fugal, the current owner of Skinwalker ranch also did an audio interview on Coast to Coast AM this year. Im still listening through it but lots of good info in there.

Intriguing.. a long time mystery... Oak Island, money pit in Nova Scotia is my big intrigue..

Yeah sure is.. oh okay I'll have to read up on Oak island.

Yo. 😎 Wanna know what my conspiracy-laden mind thinks?
Of course, you do! 😂

I think the 'no dig' thing is more likely (lol) cause there's something down there. In the earth.
Probably some superstation for terrestrial (that's right.... here before us sorta folk) beings that, for whatever reason, live there. (Probably some cataclysmic event that forced their race underground for generations... and now, they just do better down there... plus, current humans are a mess. 🤣)

And maybe they aren't cute... and are kinda scary looking, on account of being underground mostly for so long.

And maybe they use the gas/oil deposits to do their things (survive down there) and don't really want us messing with it.

Something I got nothing for: The Skinwalkers suddenly showing up after a 'curse'.
Okay... not nothing...
Maybe one of the tribes had already noticed the other beings and were in war with the other tribe (as they did)...and to try to scare them into obedience said they 'cursed' them...? Cause like... otherwise... I just don't know. 🤣 I mean, curses are the real deal... but this one is weird... and also doesn't explain/include all the flying saucers.

So many questions!
But, man! Do I love making up answers!

Great article!

In season one they did some digging near the end and reached a point where they could not dig anymore. Like they hit something too hard for the drill to get through. So maybe there is something down there.

Hmm maybe they are using them, it's quite plentiful.

And yeah it is strange all these UFOs were brought on by an native american curse. I think theres more going on here we do not completely understand.

Thanks alot for some insight into this @carrieallen.

What?! They 'could not dig anymore'? What?!
That's nuts.... but lines right up with my crazy ideas. 😎

Yup. They hit something that the drill could not penetrate. No idea what it was. Maybe in season two they will look into it further.
