In this blog, Join me as I surprise my dear mother for her birthday and Mother's Day celebration.
I booked a ticket a few months ago as I plan to surprise my mother by visiting her in Manila, so I contacted my youngest sister about what I was planning and she agreed,
It's been 7 years since I left home and decided to stay for good in Cebu, usually, my mother was the one flying here in Cebu just to visit me but today I will be the one to visit her in Manila.
My flight was at 4 in the morning so my uncle drove me to the airport around 1 in the morning so that I wouldn't miss my flight.
So after a few hours, the airport called out our flight number to announce that in an hour we were going to board and be checked by the staff.
While I was inside the airplane I took a photo of the aeroplane seat to send the photo to my wife and Michelle my younger sister to inform them that I was inside the airplane and any minute we were going to take off.
After 1 hour we reached our destination while I was going outside the airport I took a photo of the runway. I already chat my younger brother who is the one to pick me up at the airport after we met he discussed my younger sister's plans to proceed to Cabalen Restaurant where they going to celebrate my mother's birthday.
My sister texted me that our mother are still in the salon and having a manicure so they we going to the restaurant at 10 in the morning and decided to buy a cake.
Since I already bought a crochet flower for her, I and my brother were just catching up with each other since it had been a long time since we talked to each other.
After a few hours, my sister signalled us to come in but my mother didn't recognise me since she did not expect that I would be going to her birthday.
While I was walking toward her my brother said that there was a person who wanted to greet me, she said thank you for coming for my birthday.
When I was in front of her holding the cake and crochet flower that l was holding, she really did not recognise me, but when she focused on me and looked at me he did recognise me and hugged me tight while hugging she burst out crying and saying to me thank you for completing her birthday and her mother's day special.
Then my sister ordered food and we ate together, then we did a reminiscing story about our family and my father, we also talked about how if my father was still alive he would be happy seeing us complete.
Then we took a photo family photo also and my brother together of our mother took a photo together. after we were done eating we decided to go home and continue our chitchat.
My brother-in-law bought a beer to then I met my nephew and my other cousin.
My mother also took a photo of his gift given by her kids. Michelle gives her a gold ring, Arnold gives her money, a crochet flower and a cake for me as a gift.
Then I called my wife via video call on messenger to confirm that they were also okay at our home but when I called her my kids had already fallen asleep. So I just told my wife about our day that our plan was successful that everything went well and I also informed her that I would be going home after I visited the grave of my father. But she just said that I should enjoy my vacation and she asked me if she could go to sleep since her class was early morning.
I may not be a sweet nor perfect son but I will do my best to make her feel loved and worthy When I was young you made sure that you sent me money to the province just to provide everything that I wanted, I might not have a mother figure by my side in my childhood but you always find ways to make me feel that you loved me until I go in manila where I feel the mother's loved now that I can provide that things for my mother, it's my turn now to take good care of her, to give her everything that she wants and make her the most precious and beautiful mother on earth. I love you mama, Happy birthday and Mother's Day.
