The sunflower is my favorite flower, it attracts me a lot. I like its energy and the combination of colors that make it beautiful. The best of all is that we will only use scraps that we have from previous works. Saludos estimados amigos de #HiveDiy. Hoy les traigo otra manualidad que se les va a gustar, otra variedad y como siempre aprovechando telas a reciclar y por ende a seguir creando. Mayo es el mes de las flores y también el mes de las madres, por tal motivo les quiero mostrar como hacer este precioso alfiletero para que obsequien algo especial y hecho con tus manos. El girasol es mi flor preferida me atrae mucho. Me gusta su energía y la combinación de colores que la hacen una belleza. Lo mejor de todo es que solo utilizaremos retazos que se tienen de trabajos anteriores. También se pueden hacer otras variedades de flores como: margaritas, rosas, azucenas, amapolas, etc. Aprovecha los retazos de telas que tengas y sigamos dando vida al reciclaje. Espero les guste y le sea de provecho este nuevo tutorial.

- Utilicé retazos de telas de color amarillo, marrón y verde, relleno (puede ser guata, goma espuma, o hasta recortes de tela), silicón de barra, aguja e hilos.

- Cortar en papel blanco una circunferencia de 10 centímetros, si quieres la puedes hacer más grande, cortar los pétalos en forma triangular y las hojitas de menor ancho que los pétalos.

- Calcular las cantidades a utilizar, según la cantidad de telas que se tenga, coloque 8 pétalos, pueden ser de más si gustas.
- Cut the pieces in their corresponding colors; the center of the sunflower in brown, the petals in yellow, and the leaves in green.
- Cortar las piezas en sus colores correspondientes; el centro del girasol en marrón, los pétalos en amarillo, y las hojas en verde.
- Make some hand stitches around the brown circle in order to make the cavity to start filling, the filling can be done with fabric, batting , foam rubber or cotton.
- Hacer unas puntadas a mano alrededor del círculo marrón de manera de hacer la cavidad para comenzar a rellenar, el relleno lo pueden hacer con telas, guata, goma espuma o algodón.
- Complete the filling and tighten the stitch and make the finishing, making it tight.
- Completar el relleno y apretar la puntada y hacer el remate, que quede bien apretado.
- Machine sew the leaves on the sides, leaving the straight part of the base open, this time there were 6 leaves for each sunflower.
- Coser a máquina las hojas por los laterales dejando abierta la parte recta de la base, en esta ocasión fueron 6 hojas por cada girasol.
- Flip the pieces and make a small gather at the bottom.
- Voltear las piezas y hacer un pequeño fruncido en la parte baja.
- Machine sew the petals in the same way as the leaves. Petals came out of each sunflower.
- Coser a máquina los pétalos de la misma manera que las hojas. Salieron pétalos por cada girasol.
- Turn the pieces over and gather to close the petals.
- Voltear las piezas y fruncir para cerrar los pétalos.
- Begin to fix the petals with the silicone.
- Comenzar a fijar los pétalos con el silicón.
- Until all 8 petals are complete.
- Hasta completar los 8 pétalos.
- We place and fix the brown center with the silicone.
