This week, I had the chance to make lunch twice at our partner's office near the community garden. One time was planned, but the second time, today, it was quite sudden ... I was asked to cook in the same day 😅 I'm grad I could make it.
In between serving, I took breaks and went to see the community garden containers we built and started last year.
The Japanese Irises, which didn’t bloom on our balcony, were blooming beautifully here. Maybe they survived the winter better because they were planted deeper in large containers. I got permission to take some, and shared them with my partner's office. They were well received. It’s lovely to see flowers from my home country.
The iris bulbs were sold at a local shop for a super price — 20 bulbs for 1.6 euros. I plan to plant more this fall also again in our balcony.
Then today, I noticed the strawberries turning red. I was surprised to find strawberries everywhere. Tomorrow there will be a weekly market at the market hall, and I hope the kids will find and enjoy them.
Last year, in memory of my mother, I planted many strawberry plants on our balcony and in the newly made containers in the community garden. Strawberries are a special fruit for my family. When we visited Japan, my mother would always have beautiful Japanese large strawberries ready for my daughter, creating memories for all of us.
I made daughter plants of the strawberry plants in my balcony and planted them in the community garden, so now there are dozens of strawberry plants. I think my mother is enjoying this scene from heaven with my grandparents.
I saw a ladybug in the carrot patch, which made me feel like something good is going to happen.

今週はコミュニティガーデンの近くのパートナーのオフィスでランチを二度作る機会があり（一度は計画されていたものの、二回目の今日は朝いきなり！）、合間にコンテナをのぞいてきました。
うちのバルコニーでは咲かなかった菖蒲がきちんと咲いていました。プランターよりしっかり深く植えて無事冬を越えられたのかもしれません。何本かもらっていっていいか聞いてOKをもらって、ケータリング先にもおすそわけしました。異国で見る母国の花、いいですね。
菖蒲の球根は近所のホームセンターで20個1.6ユーロ（250円ちょっと）で売られていて、次の秋もまた植えたいです。
菖蒲をもらってきたときには気づかなかったのですが、今日のランチを出し終えて、コンテナのところに一息つきに来て、よく見てみるといちごが赤くなっていました。
植物をかき分けると、そこここにいちごの実が。明日はマーケットが開催される日で、子供たちが見つけて楽しんでくれるといいな。
去年は母の思い出に自宅のバルコニーにコミュニティーガーデンに新しく作ったコンテナにたくさんいちごを植えました。いちごは日本に帰ると母が子供のために立派な日本のいちごを用意してくれていて、母、私、子供の思い出の果物なのです。
コミュニティガーデンのコンテナには、うちで増えたいちごを株分けして持っていったので、もう何十株といちごが植っています。天国から母が祖父母とこの光景を楽しんでいてくれたらいいな。
にんじん林にはてんとう虫がいて、いいことがありそうな気がしました。

いちごがもうなっているのですね🍓！こちらはやっと花がついた時期です。やっぱりかなり気温差があるのですね。アヤメの色がものすごく綺麗です。和風な雰囲気に出会えるととても心が落ち着きますね。
一足お先にいただきます😊あやめいいですよね。もう秋にまた植えることを決めました！今年はもっとたくさん植えようと思います。
