Last time, I have shared that we have received a message from the DSWD where they asked us if we can facilitate the Family Development Session or FDS for the 4P'S beneficiaries and I am always willing to handle it. I have shared the last time where it was held in our Church, and I thank God for it was very successful and I think they have learned a lot.
For my "A Day in My Life" blog post for today, I will be sharing another day where we schedule to facilitate a FDS session in another Barangay, and this time I am not alone for it was a whole day event as the Barangay has many beneficiaries.
Despite a very busy days for me, I just thank God for giving me always the strength and good health, and even the courage to continue all of this. Even here in my journey, I thank God for giving me such a supportive community especially the admins and all curators.
Unlike from the other day FDS, today is very different as we have been given to topics to share and discuss. Since I am not familiar with the other topic, I have decided to choose the first topic which I was familiar.
There are 4 groups of 4P'S beneficiaries in different time schedule, and so we need to manage our time where we need to share to them the two topics.
I have chosen the afternoon time schedule and so for this morning my other two facilitator will be able to discuss the topics. We just thank God for everything went very well as we start it around 8:30 in the morning.
The first topic being shared by one of our Senior Pastor is all about "VAWC or Violence Against Woman and Children". It is very crucial and important topic to discuss and our Senior Pastor is very fit for this topic as he has more ideas and knowledge about this.
Another tooic to discuss is what I am about to discuss but since I have decided to share at the afternoon schedule, my other co-facilitator will going to share and he is very prepared to share.
The topic was all about "Gender Equality" and again a very crucial and interesting topic. Since we have been given a short period of time, we didn't have time to do the group activities but instead we asked all of them about their understanding about the topic, and they have participated too.
At lunch, we just went home together with my co-facilitator so we can take our food. We then rested for a while since we will be back by 2:00 in the afternoon.
In the afternoon, we have one group remaining to share and this time It was my topic only about Gender Equality since our Senior Pastor while we were at home, he already discuss his topic as he have also other things needed to do after.
I just thank God even though I have only limited time of 1 hour and it is not enough to do group activities unlike the before schedule I have which I was give more or less two hours but it's okay for everything went very well.
I discussed to them topics based on the discussion being given on the handouts, as will as the questions in which every time I asked them especially the mothers, they quickly answered and it was based on their life experience.
We have then ended our session around 4:00 in the afternoon and thank God as this opportunity given to us is very great. An opportunity to share the topic and even the Words of God as some of the topics, we can insert some teaching in the Bible.
After a while, we then given to them the attendance as a proof of their participation before we give it back to the DSWD. We then went to the office of the DSWD at the Municipal Hall, and then went home for us to rest.
